I love this little griddle. I’ve suffered some mini strokes and part of me getting better is to do as much as I can to get me right. Cooking is what I’m doing now and this helps me out.
DaveO –
Nice. It is nice. But it is little smaller than other panini maker.

It could function better if the size was slightly bigger than the current size. Also, it is difficult to lock when there is an item in it.

Counterfeit product. Not what I ordered. This is not what I ordered, it is a counterfeit. This is what is in the description:
“IMPORTANT: Avoid buying counterfeit products and transacting with unauthorized sellers. Look for our logo on the packaging for every one of our products. Classic Cuisine is committed to providing the consumer with the absolute best price and value on our entire line of products, which we ensure by applying a rigorous quality control process.”
I copied and pasted that for this review. It came in a box with a Chef Buddy logo on it. The heating plate surface is supposed to be 9”x10.5 inches. The one I was sent is 5”x9”. Ot was also supposed to come with two grease catchers and a cleaner spatula but neither was in the package. This is a straight up counterfeit product and I want my money back or be sent what I ordered, THE CORRECT CLASSIC CUSINE PANINI PRESS THAT HAS HEATING PLATES WITH THE CORRECT DIMENSIONS!! Not this counterfeit product this unauthorized seller sent me. Will be contacting Walmart tomorrow about this issue.

Hard to close. You might get your fingers burnt. It doesn’t close easily. It requires very hard efforts to close. I accidentally burnt my fingers while opening and closing as well. The clip used that holds the two half’s together also got bent to the force.
Besides, I realized that I should get the one with triangular pockets since it actually seals the sandwich at its edges which is better.

broken,,/cracked. top beoken in half was a Christmas gift to a friend she ooens itand this.

Great but a short cord. This sandwich makes is amazing and pretty quick no doubt but a little longer cord could be great as you can’t move that cord over anything bcoz it’s too short. Also, no temperature control knob but it’s pretty handy to use and super quick

Presses sandwiches
So far we have done a panini recipe I had at a restaurant years ago and a “grilled” burrito. Works well, does what it is supposed to, and easy to use.

Size does matter!
I was actually surprised (and disappointed) at how small this panini press is – you have to make sure your bread isn’t too big for the surface, or you’re going to make a funky panini for sure. Not only is it not robust size-wise, but it’s extremely lightweight, as the shell is made out of plastic. It also doesn’t have removable and reversible plates. Reversible with a flat side for grilling when a flat surface is needed, and removable so you could remove these to clean them ‘properly’ instead of waiting until it cools down to do so. I do love the color and the fact that this heats up quickly, and the non-stick surface is fairly easy to clean, so it does deserve a couple of stars for those things.

Arrived Fast
Ordered after midnight and it arrived same day! Allowed my daughter to be a chef today. She had so much fun with this. It heats up quick and is also easy to clean. Can be used as a grill or press.

Heats up evenly and quickly
It’s made very well, heats up evenly and very quickly, within 10 seconds. Has a lock on the side. Non stick as well, metal as well. Pull in, so you can use it anywhere you have a plug adapter.

Panini your way to better cooking
A pro cook experienced with panini presses and I, a casual cook, are both impressed. Light in weight, easy to operate, has safety features reducing possible hand burns, LED light turns green when cooking is completed…. And its two halves can be laid flat to transform into a horizontal grill. Tastes great and is easy to clean afterward. I’ve always wondered how restaurants and bakeries can make toasty, tasty slices of bread and meats—now I can quickly, too. What puzzles me is why this press lacks a power on-off switch, thus necessitating frequent plugging and unplugging from the AC outlet? Also puzzling is that I, a panini novice, understand that the panini presses’ backside is supposed to uplift to accommodate thicker foods. Don’t see this feature. Is this more of a smaller-foods cooking design? Maybe I need to try a triple-decker sandwich to see how it performs here? Maybe it’s my imagination on the backside uplift?Aesthetically, this looks terrific in any kitchen.I love love this press’s taste, versatility, beautiful design, and ease-to-clean. Still, I have to give it a 4 stars because of the questions above. Will upgrade, if someone explains.

worked to grill meat
So far I have only grilled meat, I mostly got this to replace my broken George Foreman grill which I loved.. The meat cooked well w the top grill over it so cooked from both sides. It drains to the side and I did not trust it so put a paper towel under it but it did drain off to the side. I am anxious to try it for grilled veggies, in the open position. It cleaned easily w the same trick I use for the George Foreman (cover grill w wet paper towel, drizzle dish soap on it and close. After an hour or several hours, clean up is a breeze). There is a place to wrap the cord around on the bottom but it is too small to hold it in place so not really a useful feature. Don’t love it but satisfied.Addendum: After using several times, I am finding it difficult to clean. And then the coating has started to come off where food has stuck. Maybe I need to use oil but never had to on the George Foreman so hate to here. Think I will eventually get a George Foreman again since that lasted for many years.

A compact but punchy panini press.
This is not a large panini maker, technically, you can put 2 regular sandwich breads next to each other but when pressing down, it may not fully close.Few things to keep in mind when using.- It gets hot very fast.- If not able to fully close the press part, you will have to hold it down. Remember, it gets hot fast.- Don’t push too hard on the press to try to close it. It’s not designed for major pressure and may crack (I stopped myself when I realized it could not be fully closed). And also , it gets hot fast.- When holding the press down, when the cycle is complete, the green light will pop just below the red/orange light showing you it is hot fast.- It will grilled your panini way fast than what you see in some sandwich place. I think it’s because it get hot fast.- Be careful on the small metallic drain which is on the front side of the press (to get juice/liquid out). I almost burn my finger when moving my hand around. It gets hot fast. And lastly, check my photo for my first panini using this press. It looks great and tasted awesome.

It does what it’s supposed to
We used it tonight to make paninis for dinner, having never had them before, or knowing what to expect. I guess I don’t see the point unless you are going to use it as a mini grill. They recommend you don’t butter your bread, so they were just toasted with marks on them. I think buttered and cooked in a skillet or on a griddle tastes better. I don’t know if it’s supposed to lock on your sandwiches when you close it, but it wouldn’t. We used regular white sandwich bread and they weren’t very thick. It holds two sandwiches. It was easy to open up and start cooking, and it heated up quick. It’s was easy to clean it up. I think it might be good for cooking bacon or something since you can open it all the way up so you have a bigger cooking surface. We’ll keep experimenting with it and I’ll update.

Smaller than expected, nice and portable, but hot!
You can easily use this as a stove replacement as well! I don’t often make sandwiches but wanted to use this to grill meat (such as bacon and chicken) and it works fine with that. If you put a pan on top of it, you can also cook stuff in the pan too. Unfortunately, college’s may not allow it because the panels are 1000W, which is a lot of heat. However, it does a good job of cooking stuff at home!

Outperforms expectations
As a cheap panini press this thing really exceeded my expectations. At first I thought it looked very cheap and it doesn’t feel very solid or high quality – but after using it for multiple paninis it has performed excellently and I am very happy with the results. It only takes seconds to heat up and I am able to grill a sandwich in just a few mins – no burnt bread so far. I also like to lie it flat and use it as a simple grill – and I have grilled some thinly sliced beef and pork this way with excellent results. I have some minor complaints – the cable is short, there is no on/off switch and it doesn’t extend for larger sandwiches – but in terms of core performance I am really happy with the panini maker. Also it’s easily cleaned – everything just wipes off the surface. Highly, highly recommended.

Flimsy
The first thing, upon opening the lid, was to turn the lock off to be able to freely open the lid. It was for the one and only time as the lock switch broke.Everything about this is flimsy. It is extremely lightweight and poorly constructed.Even the sandwiches need to be a lot smaller than shown.

Compact & Easy To Use, But No Temperature Gauge/Knob?
Loving the concept of this, especially since the size of it allows me to store it anywhere with ease. I do, however, have a few hang ups.The first is that it didn’t come with a collector for the grease.Second, it’s a pain to clean since the cord factory on the back end can’t get wet per the manual it’s very difficult to remove the grease entirely without getting it wet.Last but not least, there’s no temperature changing knob nor a gauge. I have to self-gauge the heat index by the amount of time it’s been plugged in which is quite dangerous and unnecessary if you ask me. It does, however, cook some of the fastest, and best tasting bacon strips you will ever eat. Kudos to me for figuring that out on the first day.P.S. the 2nd locking mechanism in the back, what in the world does it lock? Doesn’t even mention it in the manual.

non-stick but needs oil & butter for easier cleanup *pic*
Works better with firmer and non-mushy food like bread. It is a panini press. But it’s also marketed to cook steaks, seafood, burgers, and veggie kabobs. Since it’s non-stick, I mistakenly tried grilling some sliced bananas on it for my 1st use of this grill. Without oiling this press. Big mistake. After 4 minutes of just closing the press on top of the bananas, it did cook it. But it was mushy and the banana parts touching the press stuck on both top & bottom sides (see pic). It was a huge sticky mess to cleanup! Washing it with just a soft sponge was not easy either. Couldn’t really soak it since this electric press is not soakable in water. My next attempt was an omelet. This time I buttered both sides of this press and the eggs turned out better. When I’ve toasted bread with butter on this as well as the usual sandwich, it came out better. It’s a smaller panini press and lightweight too and will be a better press for a small kitchen area. We can bring this on our RV for longer staycations.Recommended.

Easy to use, odd to store
This is a great little panini press! Very easy to use and straightforward. The instructions were well written and easy to follow, and the product works as advertised. My only complaint is that it’s really an odd shaped product, and there is no place to really tie in the power cord, so it’s really awkward to try to find a place to put it away. Wish it had more of a boxy design (it’s a bit curved and the handle sticks out the front) and a place to wrap the power cord to keep it out of the way.Overall, nice sandwich maker, but if you have limited kitchen storage it can be a bit of a pain.

Ok Panini – Slightly Disappointing
The panini sandwich came out ok. I’m just a bit disappointed with the device in general. First, it’s a lot smaller than it looked in the pictures. Maybe I should have checked dimensions before ordering it. Second, you really have to push the lid down and hold it down to get the best panini result. There’s a locking mechanism but I couldn’t get it to engage because the sourdough I wanted to make my sandwich with was too thick for this little thing to handle. It’s not all negative. It’s easy to set up. Cleaning is not too bad. Instructions are mostly in legible English with a print size that doesn’t require a Sherlock Holmes style magnifying glass to read. It’s cute with some nice decorative styling. Maybe it’s best used with regular white/wheat loaf bread instead of the more rustic thick cut bread. Middle of the road overall for this kitchen appliance. Might not actually keep it. I’m kinda “meh” about it at the moment.

Okay, but a little disappointing
This press will do the job, just not very well, and it’s very limited. I made a Reuben sandwich with it and I had to push it down hard to get an even toast on the bread. It was thin-cut rye bread and I didn’t pile on the other ingredients very high. If you want to use thick bread or lay the meat on thick, good luck. I don’t have a lot of Panini Press experience, but it seems like the upper piece should be able to move with the thickness of the sandwich. It does heat up quickly (although the instructions are wrong about the light indicator action) and it cleans up easily as well.

Small but effective
The media could not be loaded.
I like this however you have to be careful with kids around. The body gets real hot and can cause serious burns. This is not unique to this press, it is the same with all of them, but it is something people should think about.I have an autistic daughter who seems fascinated by this, so I hide in the oven when I am done so it can cool off. She doesn’t understand it can hurt her.Keep in mind it is small/compact. Not designed for heavy duty sandwiches. You pile too much on the sandwich, it starts losing its effectiveness. It will take longer to finish the sandwich especially when trying to melt cheese if it is too thick. For me, this was an introductory tool to see if I like it. I did like and plan to get a lot of uses out of it before I upgrade to a larger version.

Heats up fast
This panini press is seriously a game-changer! It’s super easy to use and makes the most delicious paninis ever. The non-stick surface ensures that my sandwiches come out perfectly grilled with those amazing grill marks. Plus, it heats up quickly, so I don’t have to wait long for my tasty paninis.

Not made for grilled cheese sandwiches lol
This makes a beautiful sandwich well most of the time. My sons favorite food is grilled cheese sandwiches. He told me Mom this thing is NO GOOD. It smooshed the grilled cheese so flat there was no cheese left in the sandwich. I have tried to explain to him that is not what it is made for. Add a little more to the sandwich before you put it in the press. LOL To which he reports it works great that way but he loves grilled cheese most of all. So for anybody looking to make just grilled cheese sandwiches this is not the product for you but if you want to use it with flat bread and add the other junk as he calls it then it works perfectly.

Fantastic
This panini press has gotten a lot of use in the couple weeks I’ve owned it. It functions well and is as easy as can be to use. No buttons, dials, or settings; just plug it in and wait for the green light. Works great to make melts, but can also lay flat to have 2 open air “grills”. So far I’ve only used to it to make grilled ham and cheese sandwiches with perfectly golden bread and hot melted cheese, and fried bologna, but I am excited to see what else I can make with ease. Last, it’s extremely easy to clean the non-stick surface after each use and 100% beats washing the dishes needed to make the same things on the stove. Great, simple appliance.

A nice little electric grill/panini maker!
This is a very nice little electric grill/panini maker! Not just a panini press, it’s also an indoor small electric grill, which can be handy for many things. The mini panini press makes omelets, French toast, paninis, sandwiches and more quickly and easily. It does heat up very quickly and is ready to go before you have your sandwiches made.It also has a storage area in the bottom to hold the charging cord, which is very convenient too!It is easy to clean, so that just takes a couple minutes when you are done.I think most people would be very happy with this item.
