Budget Friendly, but Good Enough
In the daytime license plates and streets can be made out just fine, but night quality you’ll have to be up close to make out plate numbers. Installation wasn’t difficult. I’ve installed it with the hardwire kit too that I purchased separately. It’s only about $50 and the picture quality is pretty good during the daytime. Night time not so much, but not terrible. If you want to add a rear camera, you’ll have to buy the higher model as you can’t just add a rear camera to this model although it’s basically the same. There’s also on screen menu to navigate through your options and video files which may be a good thing for you as some other brands require you to use their own apps w/o a screen and connect through wi-fi to access the camera.

The build quality doesn’t feel as good as the older models. It has reset itself now a few times as well requiring a clock and settings reset. I have two, both at the same. But they do a nice job recording. I don’t have the rear camera.

Surviving AZ summers like a champ
Bought 3 of these cameras in 2021. Summers are absolutely brutal here but all three cameras work great and they have survived 2 record heat summers so far. I added my own name brand SD cards and carry an SD card reader in the car that plugs into my android phone. You will need an app on your phone that can play the SD card videos. I use one called Mixplorer but you can find others through Google.The company has been fantastic too! I needed a new car charging cord (dog chewed it while riding in the car). I contact the company to see how much Justin new cord would be. They responded very quickly and shipped out a brand new charging cord at no cost to me.

Great Dash Cam!
This is the second of these I’ve bought. The first one stopped saving settings after about 7 years of daily use. This cam is easy to install and set up, and if you wire the power to a switched circuit in your vehicle then it’s pretty much set it and forget until you need to look at a video. Overall very good!

Caught red handed!
I’ve used these for years. They have helped me get new windshields from my insurance, and I use them as security. My truck (unsure if passenger car batteries can support this) can run it 24/7. Caught a local vehicle prowler in my small community messing with my truck and I have the video to prove it! The court loves me now. I can not recommend these enough. Love it!!

Thankfully I haven’t been in an accident yet, so ease of retrieval is unknown as of yet. When it works, it’s great. However, the cord that it came with has a short in it, and has since day 1. If the cord is even very slightly jostled, it will turn the camera off. I am looking to hardwire it, but am unable to do so myself and would like to know if God forbid I did get into an accident, it will record it without concern of it shutting off mid-drive or mid-impact.

Works great and easy to install
This is my second camera. For the very reasonable price it gives be terrific coverage of the street. I’ve had one person back into the front of my car when I was at a stop sign, and another person make a bad curve and ran into my front bumper. Luckily, both times the people either admitted their guilt, or the insurance reps believed my story, respectively, or I could have had big problems. With this camera I now have peace of mind.

Loses date/settings
As a dashcam, it’s fine. All the usual basic features are present and picture quality is standard 1080p.The issue starts if you don’t use your car for more than a day. It resets itself to default if not powered on for more than 24hrs. Loses date and other customized settings which then need to be redone for the camera to be useful. I didn’t notice this until I started using my car less, weeks after the return period.Rexing customer service asked me to first format the memory card, then take a video of the problem. A video of losing my settings after 24hrs.Look elsewhere for a reliable dashcam.Update : 16th July 2022Rexing customer care has reached out and offered to replace the camera. Hopefully the issue i experienced is just a fluke and the new one works fine.

4 time customer of the Rexing V1
Several years ago, my wife was involved in an auto accident. Without any video evidence, it was her word against the other driver. Ended up costing us $$$ without proof. I decided then to add dash cams to all my vehicles. After considerable research, I ended up getting the Rexing V1. Couldn’t be happier. Last summer the V1 paid off when a car side-swiped me while I was stopped. He claimed at first that I moved into his lane and hit him. Sent the video to the insurance company, and the matter was quickly settled in my favor. I just bought a 4th car to leave at another home and installed the V1 in it too. The price is reasonable, and the image quality is great. The V1 doesn’t have all the bells and whistles, but it does the job at a cost that makes it a no brainer.

I like the LCD screen and functional buttons. Good size and not too bulky like others. Double sides 3M included. No suction cup! Be cautious and buy the micro SD card that is recomended in Rexing dash cam V1 basic description. Sandisk won’t work! See instructions. Great quality picture and video at night. I installed mine in rear I can see clearly car license plates behinh and on the sides. Great little dash cam for the money. I like it so far and won’t break the bank.

This purchase was a replacement for my original Rexing that gave up the ghost after about 4 years. I REALLY like that original one. I got this one because it looked identical, so I assumed it had all the same features. In fact, it does work exactly the same, so I have no issues with it’s functionality. That said, it has one very annoying feature. When it turns on and off – EVERY TIME it turns on and off – it chimes. My original one did not. The one I bought for my wife a couple of years ago did not. But this one does. I contacted Rexing and was told, “The on/off chime sound cannot be shut off.” Sigh. I’m really hoping I get used to the noise in time, but I’m not optimistic. So it gets 3 stars from me. If I could shut off that chime I wouldn’t hesitate to give it 5 stars. The ball is in your court, Rexing.

Easy to use, but picture quality leaves something to be desired
Overall This dashcam provides solid ease of use at an entry level price point, however I found the image quality to be lacking during my usage. I would reccomend looking at rexings higher end dash cams, I eneded up going with one of their 4k models and the resoultion is much better. Important for making out license plate numbers on the footage. Overall this dashcam was ok for the price but I wouldnt reccommend it to others.

Decent Basic Dash Cam
Everything worked when installed and menu was somewhat easy to navigate, once you get used to which buttons do what. Nice that it has an 18 month warranty when you register. Picture isn’t as good as more expensive models but is on par for the cost. I like the capacitor vs battery function.

Why have useless port?
I bought this to replace the current dashcam that is acting up, specifically because it had the port for the rear cam. But the port is unsupported. Why make a whole device and disable the port? Just sell the single cam and the rear separate, without disabling the feature. Why go through all the trouble of making two entirely different models that look the same? Bad for production.

Likes: Compact size, pretty good picture in daytime, good enough in nighttime. Instructions are pretty good and mostly easy to follow and set up. One thing that was confusing, is “G force” or gravity setting. (PS – low setting requires the most force to lock video). Quick email support.Dislikes: It has shut off twice for no reason. The “On Line” detailed instructions (not the quick set up that comes with the camera) says it may be a problem with the SD card. (FYI it doesn’t come with one). I’ll try a new one and if it still happens, dash cam goes back. Lousy telephone support. Was on hold for over 20 mins without any sign of a person answering. No “Your wait time is X minutes. (However you can request a call back.

Stopped working after a week, ghosted by support after they agreed to RMA it
UPDATE 2: Item was replaced entirely and after several months of use it has not broken again, maybe I just got a lemon. This is a decent cam for this price point. Rating adjusted to 4 stars.UPDATE: After 10 days I’ve finally been sent a return label from the manufacturer. Star adjustment made to 3.LCD screen went bonkers, camera stopped working. Exchanged several emails with their support, who kept trying to get me to do stuff which requires the LCD screen to be functional. They finally agreed to replace it.. but that was a week ago and I have not heard back from them with the shipping label. Avoid at all costs.

Works good so I bought a second one
I have 3 vehicles, 2 of which are used constantly, and it just wasn’t efficient to keep swapping the one camera between vehicles, so I bought a second one. The picture quality is great, and it’s relatively easy to use. The only complaint I have is that the first one I bought had a USB port on the power plug in for the camera so you could plug in the camera and charge a phone, but the new one doesn’t have that option.Either way, the camera works great. I can’t speak to the crash detection (thank goodness) but I have saved videos of close calls and watched them later. It seems to record well.

Excellent Value
This is a great little dashcam, especially for the money! Super easy to install, and I love that I was able to mount it above my rearview mirror in my Jeep, where it has a perfect view, but is nearly invisible. Easy review and download onto computer when needed, and the video and sound quality is great!Highly recommend.

It’s an OK Dash Cam
I bought two of these for my two vehicles, for one of them, I could not get the MicroSD card to stay in so I had to superglue it to stay put. Hopefully, I don’t need to pull it out any time soon. I have pulled out the other one to look at the videos, it seems decent and ok for what I paid for them ($50).

Captures clear wide angle view, lasts years
It captures a crystal clear view of the front and both sides. The best part is its wide-angle which captures sides well. Navigating the device is easy, in a self-explanatory manner.I’ve bought two of these and they are my second set. Due to not charging the battery for an extended period of time during the pandemic (by not driving the cars), the now 6 years old original sets’ battery is pretty much dead. Otherwise, they still work well. The new sets are a little loud when it starts up and shuts down.

Bang for the bucks
I bought 2 of these for me and my SO car. They are easy to install mostly beside some cars it’s hard to hide the wire. They are also quite heat tolerant so that’s a plus since we live in Arizona. You do have to buy a high endurance SD card to go with this dash cam. Also would recommend buying one of the SD card reader if you have iPhone. They will come real handy. The video when I watch them on my phone are pretty clear and good. Overall a positive experience. Thanks!!

Really good decice
Compared to the one I bought at a yellow tag store(BB), this actually hasn’t fried the inner components. So it has worked great all this time.

NO CONTINUOUS RECORDING
That’s it. No continuous recording. A lady in her pajamas ran a red light turning in front of me when I was going straight and I plowed her honda civic in my truck early in the morning. The camera recorded AFTER the accident already occurred, caused a huge pain in the ass insurance ordeal where the lady denied running a red, and my insurance had to pay for my truck repairs which only happened due to covid vehicle price spikes making my truck worth about double it’s normal value. Thanks for nothing. Absolutely worthless if you have an accident, 0 witnesses (common), and the other party simply lies. All they have to do is lie. Getting this is like spending $50 to NOT have a dash cam. Just give them your money why don’t ya. This product needs to be taken off the market. Oh it will last a long time, but it records when it wants to. Why gamble with something like insurance? It makes driving horribly unsafe when your lifeline is your vehicle. That lady basically tried to murder my simply by lying to her insurance company. Huge pain in my a** and it costed me thousands to use a rental car in the mean time which wasn’t covered. Lovely.

Trying again
Tried this camera about 2 or 3 years ago and didn’t have the best luck. It was summertime, and the unit kept burning out. I live in the North West, so summers aren’t very hot, but I went through 4 cameras before I finally went to another. We just got another car, so I am going to give it a chance with this one. Granted, it is wintertime right now. We’ll see. I am hopeful.

Rexing honored the warranted
I bought the item in Oct 2021. By Oct 2022 it would not hold my settings and I lost them each time I shut the car off. The included date, time, screen saver etc. Waiting to hear from seller. The seller replaced the camera. Make sure you register and get the free additional 6 months warrantee

These work pretty well but DO NOT GET THE BUNDLE THAT HAS THE HARDWIRE WITH TWO FUSES. IT IS NOT COMPATIBLE With V1 BASIC. They have different battery types. The correct one is likely out of stock for a while, so you’ll need to find another manufacturer that has the same power output.

A little clunky but does the job.
Navigating the menu is a bit difficult and the picture is a bit washed out but I’m sure there’s no better dash cam available at this price point.

Frustrating to find a video when you need it
I just needed to find a video to help someone out who was hit yesterday. I reformatted my memory card and set the date on 1/15/23, after I discovered it had not been recording for over a week (no idea why). On the card, I have videos dated 1/15/23, and the rest are dated 1/1/21. So, I have 4 videos dated 1/1/21, 12:01 am, 4 at 12:02, 4 at 12:03, etc. (Did i mention I can’t find any way to make it record videos longer than 1 minute??) Additionally, the daytime videos are really washed out. AND sometimes the camera goes on and off repeatedly while I’m driving. AND when I unplug the camera it loses the last video. I’m not pleased. Luckily I haven’t had any urgent need for video from it yet.

Unit will not accept a rear mount camera. The first one I purchased allowed a rear mount camera. I would like to return it.I did return the item and was promptly reimbursed. I appreciate their assistance..

Picture quality issue
Inexpensive, easy to use, but it doesn’t capture license plate clearly. You have to be almost to the bumper of the car in front for a good picture of the plate. I have three other dash cams which were not expensive but they capture good quality pictures importantly license plate. And this one shut down after one week. It showed the blink red dot as an indication as if it was recording, but when I tried to view there was no video. What if you get into an accident and find out it was not recording the entire trip? 😂
