It started with puberty, I am not talking growth spurts, I mean full on turning into an adult NOW with total body changes happening….which means LOTS of hormones.Which is why the science of the above referenced site made sense to us as a possible cause.There is the difference in what kind of acne one is dealing with and how each body handles the interaction of the hormones or androgens with the skin’s normal growth cycle.If normal washing and zit creams don’t work for you, you may have a deeper reason for acne.Some people have the propensity for androgens to interfere with the normal skin cycle.That creates inflammation, which creates clogged pores, which in turn creates a prime enviorment for bacteria (pimples)to grow.So if you can normalize the skin cycle, the inflammation goes down which in turn, keeps acne from forming. So what works for my teen is Clearzine, a B5/zinc supplement.Started with 6 capsules-2 caps 3 times a day for the first 2 weeks. This alone made a 75% improvement in the amount of breakouts and lack of new pimples. After the initial 2 weeks of supplement, we then started the Exposed basic system which has made another huge difference in the complexion. My kid is now taking 2 caps Clearzine twice a day with breakfast and dinner, taking a vit C (nutrigold amla) and green tea extract (life extension brand) (both antioxidants) in the morning,and doing the Exposed routine morning and night. It has been a week of doing both and the skin keeps improving.The whole family will start taking a NAC supplement again too.Eventually, I hope to drop down to 2 capsules of the Clearzine daily and continue the vit C, green tea and Exposed routine. Oh and my kid doesn’t use the Exposed moisturizer, I’m sure it’s fine, but we already use Aim2skin products and their face and neck cream has aloe/urea/antioxidants and other ingredients that has always calmed down and healed the complexion. They have a whole line of natural skin products that we use and are awesome for fair/sensitive skin.I’m listing everything thats working for us because I get so frustrated that people aren’t willing to talk about whats working for them and wanting money to tell you their “remedy”.I hope this helps someone. One use and my skin is silky smooth to touch and has a light shiny glow. I have mild adult acne, mostly around mu chin and cheeks and its hormonally based and sometimes cystic. I tend to get black heads or pimples deep under the skin. Up Until now I have used the Murad Intensive-C Radiance glycolic gel cream peel to exfoliate once a week. That works ok but its $50 and I researched that Salicylic acid delves deeper into oily/acne prone pores to clean them out. I love alot of the Ordinary’s products and this is a HIT! I’ve used this twice and its been a dream. My skin is already showing less and less black heads, texture and those under the skin pimples that havent quite come up yet. I was a little nervous at first at the idea of using a clay mask. I have used them in the past and they really do bring acne up and out to the surface. This mask seems to do the opposite! Skin is so SOFT, SUPPLE AND GLOWY! I realize that the Ordinary is known for using natural moisturizing factors like Squalene, glycerine and hyaluronic acid- all known for hydration. This mask has the first two, so skin doesnt feel tight or dry after washing off. When using this its a black creamy consistency and over the ten minutes it tightens on the face only to leave it soft and moisturized after washing off. Over all I LOVE THE PRICE, just PLEASE MAKE THIS IN A LARGER SIZE!!!!!

The Ordinary is anything but. They have amazing products and give easy to understand instructions and even tell you what time of day and or frequency is best. I am learning to be a skintalectual and make sure my self care is good for the environment as well as my own moral guidance.

Amazing !!! I’ve been dealing with bad hormonal acne this past year, and was spending so much money on other brands trying to find something to clear my face up. Then I saw this set on Elf and thought I should give it a try. I am so glad I did because in just the first few weeks there were visible changes, my face feels so much nicer, smoother, and even ! I have combination skin, with my t-zone being oily and the rest dry. However, the face wash did not dry my skin out, nor did the moisturizer ! I’ve also been using the Elf acne spot treatment alongside this. For the price, it’s absolutely worth it. Fabulous Emulsion Cleanser. This cleanser is fabulous! It is gentle, effectively removes make-up, and leaves skin feeling so soft!

The consistency is different than I am accustomed to. Instead of being a soaping, foaming cleanser, this is an emulsion cleanser with a gel-like consistency. The directions state to warm a small amount of the cleanser by rubbing your hands back and forth and then apply the cleanser to a dry face. After rinsing with warm water, my face was clean and noticeably softer!

I will definitely continue to purchase and use this product along with other products from the Ordinary line!

Totally ruined my skin. I have PCOS and have suffered from acne my entire life. I decided to try out this kit when I saw it. Easy-to-Follow Routine for Cleansing & Moisturizing! My 18-year-old son has been using the Proactive Clean 3-Step Routine and is really enjoying the results. Forget the big box store cleansers. Buy this. I have blackhead issues due to my naturally higher testosterone levels. Out of all of the acne-prone skincare products I’ve tried, this entire kit has been the most effective at solving my issues without exacerbating acne through other means. The cleanser’s 1% salicylic acid (instead of the 2% in other products) along with additional ingredients didn’t dry out my skin, the water cream continues treatment while preventing drying, and the serum packed the biggest punch in getting blackheads out of my skin.

All three of these products are some of my Ordinary holy grails that I’ve been consistently using in my skincare regimen for several years. None of them have any harsh or stripping ingredients, so they’re great for all skin types including those on the more sensitive side of the spectrum.The caffeine solution is great for anyone who needs some extra firming and de-puffing under their eyes. As someone who has a very unhealthy sleep schedule, a few drops of this paired with a chilled jade roller in the morning does wonders to make me feel and look more awake.Hyaluronic acid is a such a great and moisture-restoring chemical that I highly recommend everyone use. My face wash already has Hyaluronic acid so for a long time I didn’t think to invest in a good Hyaluronic acid serum until this three pack. I’m so glad I did because the amount of Hyaluronic acid in a wash off treatment such as a cleanser isn’t enough to add extra moisture, just enough to make sure the cleanser doesn’t strip too much moisture from your skin barrier. This is a must have for dry skin babes and I would still use it even for my oily skin friends.Niacinamide is one of my favorite skincare ingredients of all time. It has so many great properties and helps with redness, acne, scars, reduces fine lines, brightens, reduces pores, etc. If you’re a beginner to skincare, Niacinamide is the place to start to address your skincare concerns. It’s great for all skin types and I genuinely think everyone should have one Niacinamide product in their skincare routine.Overall, the Ordinary products are great for their price points. They’ve managed to last me around 4-5 months (I use each product twice daily) and I don’t use them sparingly. Much more affordable than some other pricy brands on the market and they get the job done well with results. If you’re just getting into building your skincare routine or don’t want to drop big bucks, this is a great place to start. Even for those of you willing to spend more, honestly some of these products and their ingredient lists beat higher priced products out there.

be sooooo careful with this serum. it works for sure! but be SO careful with how much you apply, so much can ruin your skin barrier and i learned the hard way. don’t apply more then three times a week if you have sensitive skin. remember to do your research before you buy skin products… stay safe ! good product tho !

Work well but concerning skin reaction. I was really happy when I first tried these, they ticked all the boxes I was looking for in a patch- clear, easy to apply, work overnight to absorb whiteheads. But last time I had been wearing them for only a few hours, peeled them off, showered and used a cleanser. When I looked in the mirror afterwards I had bright red EXTREMELY noticeable spots of irritation where the patches had once been. Just Decent, Middle of the Road. I thought these were just average pimple patches. I have tried better ones for a little cheaper actually. On some pimples, I felt like they were worked great and on others not so much. For example, if you have a big, irritated pimple ready to burst, it is good for that if it is a pimple that is still more under the skin not so much.

Working well so far. My daughter says that it is working. For me, I’m not hearing any complaints about her breakouts so it’s working great for me. She also has eczema and sensitive skin. She has not had any reaction to it and hasn’t complained about her skin being irritated

I ordered this set for myself in the winter when I had a bad reaction to the cold weather in Chicago in combination with some inflammation due to tetrinoin use. The cleanser was my favorite part. Very creamy and hydrating, loved it. Works best when you apply to dry skin and massage it in. You can wipe it off with a clean towel because it will soften and losen dead skin and residue and exfoliate. I also used the serum after and during home micro needling sessions, it protected my skin and helped it heal quickly. It really prevented post micro needling moisture loss. My least favorite product in the bundle was the moisturizer, I found it too light and also stings my skin. I prefer, to do ” slugging” with heavier water soluable moisturizing skin balms. This seems like it would be a good light weight moisturizer in the summer months when working out outside…I never tried to wear it with sunscreen though so I don’t know if it would be compatible. But it wasn’t a bad product just not exactly what I was looking for. The ordinary is great because they use glass whenever possible so I prefer thier serums for that reason as well, and they always deliver a quality product at a great price point. The picture is my skin make up free after using these products for a month.
