Quick summary: This is FANTASTIC. The only line of skin care that has worked for my skin. I can’t believe I’m really acne-free. Here’s the detailed version:I’m a 33-year-old mother of 3 with pale, sensitive, oily, and acne-prone skin. I have had acne since I was a teenager. It’s been bad. The one thing that worked for me was Aldactone. I used the as prescribed by a dermatologist along with birth control pills, as recommended. This was fantastic for my skin, but I don’t like taking hormones or medicine in general. Obviously, they weren’t an option when my husband and I decided to start a family. My acne came back with a vengeance. It was definitely hormonal with heavy whitehead breakouts monthly and zits all the time. The scarring was bad. Since my teenage years, I have tried probably close to a hundred different products without success, including Proactiv, Aveeno, Olay, Salacylic Acid, Retin-A, Clearasil, and Oxy clean, & Neutragena.I came across these products (from Dan’s Clear Skin Regimen CSR at Acne.org) a long time ago, but didn’t try them. About 6 months ago, I decided to give it a go. I bought the Cleanser, Treatment & Moisturizer, & Jojoba oil to start, and decided to wait on the AHA+ as recommended. Also, I knew the AHA+ contained glycolic acid, which I thought my skin didn’t like. (Based on other products with that ingredient.) So, I started the regimen following the application techniques that Dan recommends in his videos.FIRST MONTH – starting with small amount of treatment & slowly ramping it up -Morning: Cleanser, Olay Complete Moisturizer SPF 15 (w/ 2 drops of Jojoba oil), Avon Mineral Make-upEvening: Cleanser (wait 15 mins- this is key!), Treatment (again wait 15 mins), Moisturizer mixed with a few drops of Jojoba oil.Findings: I found that I didn’t use as much moisturizer as Dan recommends when I mixed it with the oil. I think the oil really helped the flakes in the beginning. My face definitely dried out with fewer zits, but my pores felt clogged still and I still had a few zits pretty much all the time this first month.SECOND MONTH – added AHA+Morning: Cleanser, Olay Complete Moisturizer SPF 15 (w/ 2 drops of Jojoba oil), Avon Mineral Make-upEvening: Cleanser (wait 15 mins), Treatment (again wait 15 mins), AHA+, Moisturizer mixed with a few drops of Jojoba oil.Findings: I WAS IN PAIN!!! The AHA+ stung so bad, I thought I would cry. I toughed it out for about 2 weeks until I decided to try it in the morning instead. That helped SO much! (see below for routine). I think the stinging came from mixing the BP and AHA.REVISED MONTHS 2-4 – Treatment at night & AHA+ in the morningMorning: Cleanser, AHA+, Olay Complete Moisturizer, Avon Mineral Make-upEvening: Cleanser, Treatment, Moisturizer mixed with a few drops of Jojoba oil.Findings: I gradually saw my skin getting so clear, and no stinging!! I do have very sensitive skin. I used this regimen for a couple months, and it got to where I would have only 1 or 2 zits per month! Those zits would leave bad scars, which would make my skin look like I had more zits than I did. During the next month, I got lazy and stopped always waiting 15 minutes in between cleansing/treatment/moisturizing, & once I realized that the timing was key, went back to this final (and my current) regimen below.TODAY’S REGIMEN (about 8 months after I started the CSR)Morning: Cleanser, AHA+ (I skip this if I know I’m going to spend a lot of time outside), Olay Complete Moisturizer (I skip this if I know I’ll be inside all day), Avon Mineral Make-up (optional, yay!)Evening: Cleanser (wait 15 mins- this is key!), Treatment (again wait 15 mins), Moisturizer without Jojoba oil anymore–I don’t need it!Findings: I just can’t believe that I finally have clear skin! I occasionally get an itty bitty zit, but it has been a couple months since that happened & it cleared up really fast with no scarring! My scars are fading, too. I’m just so excited about the CSR–and I hardly ever write reviews!Here are my final thoughts on each of the products:THE LINE AS A WHOLE: I love that it has the best ingredients, that it avoids fragrances and other irritating ingredients. I also like that Dan cares about limiting packaging and keeping the costs low!CLEANSER: Love, Love, Love! It reminds me of all the good things about Cetaphil, but it actually FEELS like you’re getting your face clean. I love how it bubbles up–unlike Cetaphil. Doesn’t leave my skin overly dryTREATMENT: Glides on easy. I don’t actually use as much as Dan recommends, but that works for me. I use about the size of the top part of my index finger only once a day. I definitely wait until my face is totally dry after cleansing before applying. This DOES bleach fabrics, so I always take a white pillowcase with me when traveling to avoid bleaching someone else’s pillowcase!MOISTURIZER: This has taken me longer to love. I think I was using too much for my face early on, but Dan DOES recommend using a lot! It doesn’t soak in quickly, which is the main reason I didn’t like it at first. I’ve learned to really like it and my face definitely looks more vibrant in the morning when I use it the night before. I only use this at night since I find it to be a little too oily looking under make-up. I will keep buying it, but it lasts forever!AHA+: Like I said above, this stung SO bad at first when I was applying right after the BP. Once I applied it on its own after cleansing, it hardly stings at all. Now I LOVE this! This is the key to my face now looking totally polished. It cleared up the flakes from the BP right away, and now I have such smooth, even, bright, and glowing skin. Yes, this sounds so cheesy, and when people would say this before, I never believed it could happen to ME! I really think my emerging wrinkles are lessoned, too. Perhaps it’s even fading my scars?!?!JOJOBA OIL: This worked well in the first month when I wasn’t using the AHA+ to minimize the flakes. I really didn’t like the packaging because it leaked oil all over my counter, and I’m glad I don’t have to use it anymore!Seriously, I want to tell everyone how well this worked for me, but I’m shy and don’t want to make people with acne feel awkward by telling them to their faces. So, here is my review after months of totally clear skin: wow.

I haven’t had regular acne for a while (since I was a teenager), but recently I had a really bad cystic acne flareup. I’m a pretty low maintenance person so usually I just use a gentle face wash followed up with a moisturizer and sunscreen. That wasn’t cutting it with this most recent breakout that was the type of acne that was both painful and prone to scarring. It wasn’t going away on its own like it usually does and I had 3-4 really painful ones so I decided to pick up this kit.I do have sensitive skin but I’m not allergic to benzoyl peroxide, which is the active ingredient in this kit. I have used Proactiv in the past but it stopped working for me and I didn’t feel like getting caught up in the auto-billing practices from ordering on their main site. I also found Proactiv to be a lot more expensive at other retailers. After Proactiv stopped working for me, I went with a “less is more” approach to my acne and I mostly outgrew it before this most recent breakout. I wanted to see what else was out there and saw that this kit had a lot of positive feedback and wanted to give it a try.General overview of each product in the kit:Cleanser: If you like the beads in the Proactiv cleanser, you probably won’t be a fan of this facewash. There is a slight “grit” to it, but nothing like the beads in the Proactiv cleanser. It’s pretty drying so I wouldn’t use it every day. It left my face with that “squeaky-clean” feeling that feels like I over-washed my face. Definitely use a good moisturizer with this facewash.Toner: Worst product of the bunch. All you can smell is the alcohol. I would either switch it out for a different toner if you really want to follow the routine, or only use it on active pimples. Alcohol is actually a great disinfectant but I wouldn’t use it on my whole face. The Proactiv toner is definitely superior to this since that uses the pricier glycolic acid base.Lotion: Comparable to the Proactiv lotion. As other reviewers have mentioned, I would use this sparingly as well. It can be drying if you apply this to your whole face, instead of just active pimples. I found this less drying than the facewash though. As long as I use it sparingly, I can use the lotion daily with minimal dryness, but if I use the cleanser everyday the dryness is out of control.Routine:I only use the cleanser 1-2 times a week and use another sensitive skin facewash daily. If I use the cleanser anymore then that, the dryness gets out of control. Not just flakiness, but the type of dryness where it burns if you apply lotion on it. I do have sensitive skin, but I never had that type of dryness when I was on Proactiv (just general flakiness). I believe Proactiv only has 2.7% benzoyl peroxide in it vs the 3.7% in this kit. 3.7% is a bit high for me to apply to my entire face but works well applied sparingly to active pimples. I usually skip the toner or only apply it to active pimples. I use the lotion daily on any acne-prone places and active pimples, but not my whole face. I always followup with a moisturizer and a sunscreen.Purging period: As others have mentioned, I did experience a pretty bad purging period when I first started using the kit. It brought out cystic acne in places that I usually don’t get it like on the far sides of my cheeks near my ears. It definitely gets worse at first before it gets better. The acne did eventually all go away but did leave brown marks behind that are going to take a while to fade. There also was the severe dryness I mentioned above, until I learned to get the “dosage” right for my skin.General opinion/recommendation:I would purchase the kit again if I was on a budget because it will do in a pinch, but I will probably search for something better. I feel like it does make my acne go away but it’s pretty harsh on my skin and I don’t feel like I can use it as part of my daily routine for a long period of time. I would be interested to try the “sensitive skin” version of the kit in the future to see how it compare. Right now I’m just going to finish up the remainder of this kit before introducing other items into my skincare routine.

As you can see from the photo I have moderate cystic acne with bad scarring.After the many interventions, over the counter (Neutrogena, murad etc.), birth control, a 10% BP solution, all sorts of serums, dermatologist prescribed meds, nothing has resolved my acne. I tried the Korean Skincare routine which made my non acne affected skin greatly improve in texture and overall health, but did not touch the stubborn acne.The photos are from the morning after my first application, days 34, 62, and 100 after the morning routine when my skin is as bad as it gets (sorry for the bad lighting).Within one night of using it, my cystic acne started turning into whiteheads which is very uncommon for my skin. This appears to be a repeating event where any red bumps that start to surface inevitably are turning into whiteheads that eventually burst with the lightest of touch. I used neosporin – I find it helps with the scarring and inflammation. I can have eczema patches around my eyes or ears if they get too dry so I have to keep the BP at least 1 inch away from those areas (sometimes the BP migrates with the lotion so be careful there).I started this regimen in late summer so the first week my skin burned anytime I went outdoors hence the sunblock (I really like the Neutrogena daily moisturizer with spf 30). If you can avoid wearing makeup or at the very least only use eye makeup for the first week, I highly recommend doing so. If not, use moisturizing foundations etc. stay away from matte finishes because it will severely dry out your skin and flake. I was able to go back to my matte makeup ~2 weeks in, but not every day or I get flaky.Application: Be diligent on washing your hands (~30sec) any time before touching your face – with that here is my routine. As I mentioned I had great results with the K Skincare routine so I weaved my serums and toners into this routine. I only recommend keeping what you already know works great for you. If wearing makeup, I use a cotton ball with remover (the wipes ended up being too rough). Make sure you get it all off because this face wash is far too gentle to remove make up. I let my skin dry ~10 minutes, wash my hands, and apply my klairs toner. Let that dry ~5 min, wash hands, and then apply my essence. I let this dry for 15 minutes, wash hands, and then apply BP (avoiding eyes and ears). I let this dry for 15 minutes, wash my hands, apply my vita C serum and lotion to areas without BP. Then I start to apply to areas with BP, being careful to not let it migrate. I have also found if the BP gets on my neck, it gives me a light red rash. It took me two weeks before I felt comfortable with using the BP 2x/day and I stopped increasing the amount after about a nickel sized drop. I didn’t want to have a terrible reaction to the BP so I took my time and let my skin adjust. I still have a red tint to my skin, light sunburn type, but really is only noticeable under bright fluorescents. The BP is very harsh and drying on your skin, but if you’re like me and very desperate for a resolution, this system works.I give every skin care routine 3-4 months to control my acne. At first I did not like the lotion that came with this product as it really did not do a great job and definitely could not stand up to winter use. Winter for me consists of 15-35 F so I purchased the jojoba oil from the same manufacturer as the price was competitive compared to other, similar products on amazon. I used it as the company instructed, mixing 5 drops into my lotion step, but had okay results. I got a separate clear plastic bottle to mix them (lotion and oil) and had vast improvements. I think my skin needed more so I mixed them to a consistency where if I flip the bottle upside down, the mixture will fairly rapidly fall. This keep my skin hydrated in the single digits days we’ve been getting with zero flakes. If you have dry skin, buy the oil! It really will save you on going through the itchy, red, flaky period and BONUS it’s great to put on chapped lips before bed during winter monthsFrom my photos, this system obviously works! I did go through the “it gets worse, before getting better” period but at around two months in I had a lot of improvement that only continued. At 100 days in I maybe get one blemish per month and it will go away within a week. When wearing just a foundation (no concealer) my skin looks amazing and you can’t even really see my discoloration or scarring. I would 10/10 recommend this to anyone who suffers as I did (finally past tense) from acne.Goodluck and Cheers!

So I’ve only used this system for 3 three days as the packaging instructs and I already can see a difference. My skin is softer, whiteheads are easier to extract, and redness has decreased by a whole lot. I have hormonal, adult acne with oily/combination skin and usually have about three breakouts at one time. I am super excited to see if this system will be able to prevent breakouts from occurring.Update: Ok so I’ve used this for a few weeks now and took off a star. First, this became super drying. I’m talking about peach fuzz all over the face drying. Peeling tiny particles of skin off my face drying. My makeup applied even worse with this vs applying makeup to a face with breakouts on it. So I’ve now started to use this every other day.Second, when you get breakouts, the healing process is super slow. I forgot to wash my face one night and woke up to three new breakouts. I started to use the lotion as a spot treatment but my stubborn acne did not budge. The lotion helped to keep the size of the zit down but it took an entire 8 days for the zit to go away. Until then, there was a medium size, very noticeable bump on my face. So this is not for people who want rapid results. There are drugstore spot treatment options that perform much better.So I love the system for preventing breakouts but hate the dry skin I get after using this.

Travel kit. 1 oz size, cute and small, but why not 2 or three oz size? Three people in my family use this.

Literally flattens all my Acne Bumps. So I had pretty bad acne before I started seeing a dermatologist and I would pop my smaller pimples and use this spot treatment right after they would flatten literally within 8-10 hours. As far as my hug hard cystic acne those I wasn’t able to pop plus I would leave scars on my face so I started seeing a dermatologist it’s been almost 2 years I have no more acne after using there facial washes and lotions stopped using MAC makeup only use baremineral and stopped eating chocolate. I get my face cleaned every 2 weeks w Dermatologist and right after I leave I still to this day use the clean and clear spot treatment and my face is flat and smooth within 4-6 hours. HORRIBLE please do not buy. I bought this product hoping it would clear up my teenage cystic hormonal acne, I saw no progress and I will insert some pictures in a moment…. I tried everything from diets even though I am healthy and fit, to facial treatments and nothing worked. I turned to proactiv hoping it could help me out, I was very depressed and with school stress, my face would just break out and I just had enough and my family wanted to help. So we got proactiv, alright I used it for a month, ok no change ecxept that every single time I would wash my face it would end up red and irritated, new breakouts every now and then, but I continued using the product as I thought that this was the way it was supposed to work…. well I did the whole 60 days using only this product exactly how it said in the instructions twice a day, and nothing. I understand that all skin types are different and maybe what didn’t work for me could work for you, but Im just being honest here, my results were horrible and completely upsetting. I am a very hygenic person, I am a germophobe and I never had acne in my life except for one or two on my forehead due to stress or around my menstrual cycle but that was completely normal. I started to get this hormonal cystic acne and acne marks on my cheek bone and cheeks at the end of my 15 teenage years and it started to spread. I am sharing this because I suffer with acne and I know what it’s like to have this low self esteem and just having to deal with acne every day. I understand how painful it is to go to bed with high hopes and clearer skin than usual hoping that tomorrow will be a new day and your skin will slowly start to get better only to wake up to new painful breakouts. I know what it’s like to feel like everyone is staring at your skin every time you go out. I also hate it whenever people with clear skin say “oh yeah I know how you must feel. Its okay you’ll get better” when they don’t know what it’s like at all. I understand all of this so I hope my review helps others out there, I will edit my review if I find anything else that helps out my skin for those who struggle and can relate to me but for now I can just say for sure that proactiv did not help at all. Good stuff. I used to use another brand but they don’t make it anymore so I tried this and it works just as well. The price is right and it should last me a very long time

Did not know it was a starter kit for 35.00$ I didnt notice that it said starter kit thats a lot of money for a small item and when it came I was highly upset I usually get the normal size for that amount of money I feel like I was played for my money cause for one it didnt have any thing pictured stating it was a trial size as you can see from the picture above for that amount of money it should have been bigger than that!

These products have helped me get clear skin. It’s not too harsh and makes the skin feel fresh.

Great little kit. Haven’t been able to travel with it yet by the bigger sizes work awesomely! The only con I have with this is I was expecting a travel case along with this it will be sort of difficult to travel without one. Otherwise the kit is great!!!

Loving their products!! I love their products easy to use in simple steps. I use the severe acne kit and my skin has really been glowing. I looove that they have a sunscreen to protect the skin from harmful sunlight. IVe also been using the body spray on my back and shoulders which has been going great.

I saw an ad for these patches on Facebook after searching for patches that work best for deep cystic acne. WORKED WONDERS FOR MY TEENAGER. We have a teenager that has extremely bad acne. We have tried several different high end products (I won’t mention name brands) that never helped our teenager. Quality tools. I like the tools. The tweezers are excellent for picking off dry skin flakes without damging the skin too much. The extraction tools are really good. I love that they come with a small circle for deep pimples. I do have issues with opening the case but that might be me. All the tools fit in the case well. They’re easy to use, comfortable hand grips and easy to clean.

VARIES so BEWARE! I’m 35 and started dealing with acne possibly due to hormone imbalance. I gave this a try and let me just say it is very HARSH on sensitive skin which I have. After two uses I had to stop using it. It burned and dried my face badly. No amount of moisturizer helped with the dryness. I will continue to use but most likely once or twice a week. It works great on back acne. I had no problems with irritation on my back and notice clearing after a few uses on my back.

Awesome! Honestly I’m impressed! I just got a kit yesterday, and I only used it once before my skin looked really clear. I’m a teen with oily skin and get breakouts a lot, there’s like a new pimple or spot of acne every day. I started using this last night and when I woke up I was impressed. Acne fighting. This used to be a prescription gel. It is comparable to Differin. You have to consistently use the product to see results. There is an initial “purge” but you should see clearing after that phase. You really need to pair this with a good moisturizer with ceramides to prevent drying.

Get it!! Been using for two weeks! This is a real review no promotion, no payment no coupon or anything I just hope my real review helps someone else who struggles with acne and breakouts like me! I posted two photos before I started using and at my two week mark! I use it every night and every morning and it does make my face dry, I use a tiny bit of cera ve moisturizing cream on my face after and I’m one that has very oily skin but it doesn’t clog my pores or break me out. It has worked wonders.

Great for After Staph Infection Caused Acne. Great product so far. I need more time to try it out but I’m hoping it will help with Staph infection in combination with antibiotics I just start taking. I’ve also been using Neosporin (Walmart-branded TAO) on a Q-tip and putting it inside my nose. It sounds crazy but there is research and evidence online to back this up as S. Aureus (Staph) lives in the ears and nose of most everyone. It’s shown to have helped with cystic acne and has shown improvement for myself as well. I’m using this acne stuff to help for after it’s gone.

Good acne solution. It effectively reduces acne, is easy to apply, non-greasy and affordable. However, it may dry out skin and cause temporary irritation. It is suitable for mild to moderate acne, acne-prone and oily skin, but not recommended for severe acne, sensitive or dry skin. You will need to apply 2/3 times a day. Overall, it’s a reliable and affordable solution for acne-prone skin when used carefully.

Walmart sucks!!!! Worst service ever! Walmart is a total fraud. Holding people’s money for 10 business days for being out of stock, when it takes them seconds to take your money. Then why not say you are out of stock??? Completely shameful from a billion dollar company preying on people like leaches.

Original rx strength, fights acne. As a pharmacy technician, I am glad to be able to purchase this acne fighting wash for my son without a prescription. Foams well, rinses clear. Good product to fight breakouts.

I might have liked the product if there was enough of it to like. For nearly $25.00 there should have been more bang for your buck. The size is ridiculous for the amount of money charged. The packaging is fine, but I would not purchase again unless the quantity of the product increased.

I use these every time I have a deep and or painful zit. I may have to use them a few days in a row, but they work. They are great to use the night before a big event, and they stay on all night. They are semi-discreet, and I don’t think they’d be noticed unless someone was very close.

Huge Success! Huge Success! I tried Curology, that made the acne worse. I used the Proactiv to clear up the mess that the Curology made. I finally determined to try the Differin Gel. Why was this not my first response?? The Differin gel tried out the acne overnight, y’all. There was visible proof overnight!!! I am sticking with the Differin Gel. I also bought the body and face wash…Ooh my goodness! This product is the “real deal” I am so satisfied about how this product is clearing up the acne on my face and body.

Purchased 1 set at one store got home to find 2 of the 3 items were missing from the box. So I repurchased it from another store for delivery as soon as I got home for the next morning only for it to arrive the exact same way, missing the exact same items. This was supposed to be a Christmas gift for my granddaughter in another state that has to be mailed and now she won’t get it for Christmas Day. Walmart and Walmart has seriously gone downhill in the last few months and after returning these and repurchasing at another retailer today I will be canceling my membership and will probably never step foot into another Walmart again.

A lot smaller than I thought they would be. Kind of irritated that I spent $40 on basically a travel kit but we’ll see how it works because that’s the important part.

I was astonished at how small these were, but that’s actually my fault.. I didn’t focus on the ounces of each bottle.I mention this so that others don’t overlook the ounces.As long as you use it like it says and don’t skip days the product works very well!The price was better here than what I’ve been seeing on other sites.Will I order again? I’ve been using proactiv over 20 years , it is not for everyone, I have even used the proativ sensitive products, was a no for me , I also used other products, but proactiv is the only product that works for me
