I am 5’8” and 130 lbs and I ordered the 100% merino wool mid-weight brown XS thermals for an upcoming outdoor wedding in freezing temperatures. The items were nicely packaged and they included easy care instructions (mainly to lay flat to dry). They felt soft and slightly stretchy upon unboxing, yet did not feel too bulky while wearing. I have a slender frame, and am very thankful to have chosen the XS because they fit perfectly despite my height and build. I would seriously wear these to sleep because they’re so soft and forgiving. I also like that they’re 100% merino wool, which is excellent for odor control and moisture wicking while providing good warmth.I felt warm while initially making sure they fit but I would encourage buyers to go ahead and get the mid-weight as these were not terribly thick, so I imagine the light-weight would be oftly thin. I will update my review following a wash & weekend of wear!

These are great! Next to skin soft, warm and cozy. You do NOT need to size up for these. I did… they are looser than I want as base layers, but I decided to keep them to use as pajamas. I find I sleep better in merino because of how it regulates temperature.

I purchased 2 sets — one light weight and one midweight. I purchased large (am normally about a size 10 or 12), and they fit loosely, but I expected that. I could still get the bottoms under slacks without a problem. I haven’t yet tested for warmth in extreme cold, but they are quite cozy in 40 degree weather. And, they are very soft. The only issue I have is that so many of the reviewers mentioned that they were surprised and pleased to receive socks with their order. This led me to expect that I would also receive socks. The company does not advertise socks as part of the order, but they should add a comment to all the reviews that mention receiving socks to let the other purchasers know not to expect them. The cost is high, so socks would made up for that a bit.

Took a trip to Norway to see the Northern Lights and these were a perfect base layer. Add warmth without too much bulk and not at all scratchy. They fit a little looser than expected. If I buy again, I would purchase one size smaller. I’ve washed these a couple of times now and they have not shrunk and continue to be soft and comfy.

I bought this set in a large midweight. I tried it on immediately and thought it was much too large for me…even baggy. But after I did the initial wash and air dry, the set fit me just as I had hoped. They are surprisingly thin, but that just meant they fit better under my clothing. I am 5’6” and 145lbs. I ordered the large. The set fits closely, but isn’t tight or too snug. The legs are a little longer than I need and the sleeves come down a little past my wrists. It isn’t quite as warm as I wanted, but then I wore it on a very cold, windy, rainy day and I could still feel the cold and wind through my clothes. However, it could be that I would have been absolutely miserable without the extra layer. As it was, I was just less than comfortable. Once I got out of the wind (but still in the cold and rain), I was perfectly fine. I could see wearing it for sleeping. I would definitely recommend this and plan to purchase at least two more of the midweight sets.

I am headed to Switzerland where it is still cold for this Californian. This merino top and bottom are the softest clothing I’ve ever had on! I love them! The fit well, and I was happy that I fit a size smaller than most things on Amazon. You could also wear these to lounger around your home. They are very light weight but provide the warmth and protection under your clothes one needs when it is cold and wet. I highly recommend these. I got them in two colors.

I took 3 types of long underwear for a trip to Antarctica. These were the best. They retained their shape, are odor resistant, wicking and were surprisingly not itchy as a first layer. You also are not slowly letting microplastics get washed off when you choose wool. I highly recommend these. For sizing reference, I am round, short lady (size 18-20). My only suggestion would be that the the legs have a tighter opening. You will want to have your socks over the leggings so they don’t ride up.

These are thin and comfy and the material keeps you warm when you layer it properly. They are comfy underneath clothing and stretchy if need to adjust a bit, but I do suggest taking off the tag it is itchy. I wore these my first time being in snow and they kept me warm through the whole trip.
