Very simple and functional yet it has all of the essentials without any of the gimmicky frills. Maybe it takes a $300 laptop so I don’t have to deal with built in Alexa-enabled something, HP-specific ports, fingerprint scanner, and other stuff I don’t want or need. They don’t try anything fancy with this one which for me is a positive. Plus it’s TKL keyboard which really should be the new norm. Does not have a backlit keyboard which is a slight miss but for the price it’s not a huge deal.You can take it out of S-mode easily and remove a lot of the addons and you have yourself a perfectly functional Windows machine. Despite the lower-tier hardware it still starts up very quickly if you make sure you don’t have too much bloatware. Sure it’s a little slow at times but if you’re using it for day to day tasks it should be fine. Battery life seems very good, the laptop is also fairly lightweight as well. What more could you ask for at this price point.

The first one of these I got on Monday and suddenly on Tuesday at locked up and you couldn’t even open it or log on or do anything it was like totally dead so I did my Amazon thing and returned it. I got a replacement one by Friday I call that pretty darn good especially since it’s Christmas, I love the HP laptop and I got an HP mouse and I haven’t learned to do everything yet but I’m practicing now and getting it the way I want it

I love the fact that the re-seller removes all of the “junk” that typically comes with new PC’s or laptops. Keep in mind this is a $300 laptop, make sure you get the computer you need. It drives me crazy when people buy a $300 laptop, try to use it for gaming, and then give a bad review when it doesn’t work well. I use this for almost exclusively web based computing, Microsoft 365, email, etc. and it works flawlessly. In addition, it’s really light and mobile.

My MacBook got too old and like most apple products by the time they come out with the newest model the software updates start to overload the hardware causing the computer to glitch, malfunction, and eventually crash leaving you with no choice but to spend more money on yet another computer. I’ve never had that problem with HP laptops! They have always lasted longer than MacBooks by at least 3 years! Nothing bad to say! One of my favorite makes!
