Exceptional Bang for Your Buck. Seeking a replacement for our sluggish, outdated laptop led me to this gem. It’s packed with safety features and offers a seamless personalization process for apps and items. Every penny spent is justified, and I wholeheartedly endorse this product.
Amy –
Very happy so far! I haven’t had a chance to use it much yet, but so far I love it! My last laptop was an HP and it performed terribly, but I never realized how heavy and bulky it was untily ASUS arrived! They’re the same screen size, but this is so much thinner and light as a feather. The pink is also prettier in person. So far it’s been functional, fast, and very user friendly. I don’t know a lot about technology, but I’m very pleased with my purchase so far.
Ishtar –
Balanced with a Compact Solid State Drive. I primarily use this laptop for online shopping and enjoying movies. Its 64GB solid-state drive might not offer ample storage, particularly with the space-hungry Windows 11 updates, but I’ve smartly supplemented it with a separate 1TB hard drive and an external enclosure.
Afshan –
Revisiting Excellence. It’s amazing how this laptop, being brand new and not refurbished, comes at such an affordable price. The quality is outstanding for the cost. Even though transitioning out of “S Mode” is hassle-free, considering Microsoft Store’s product range, it might not hold much significance. These laptops are quite forgiving. In fact, I’ve gone ahead and acquired a second one! Microsoft’s bundled software like 365 and OneDrive can easily be removed, and I’ve learned from past experiences to keep important files on external drives. This laptop’s built-in storage is certainly spacious enough. For any extra storage needs, I rely on an external drive – a safe bet. And yes, all my important files are diligently backed up on other drives.
Davis –
Streamlined Unboxing Experience. Unboxing this laptop was truly remarkable. The packaging was neat and aesthetically pleasing. I must commend the manufacturer for providing straightforward, rapid, and clear setup instructions. In all my years, I’ve never encountered a more effortless way to get a new laptop up and running.
Nani –
Excellent Value for the Price. I was pleasantly surprised by how lightweight this laptop is, and the large screen is a definite plus. My only wish is that I could expand the RAM further. Unfortunately, that’s the main drawback I’ve encountered with this product.
Steward –
Laptop Love. This laptop has found a special place in my heart. It’s solely dedicated to handling my email, social media, and at-home research tasks. The keyboard layout, especially the convenient side numbers, earns a thumbs-up from me. I scored a fantastic deal on the price.
Romaine –
Keyboard Woes. My first error! Opted for an ASUS due to my previous positive experiences with the brand. However, due to a series of circumstances, the laptop remained boxed for an extended period. Mistake number two! When I finally unboxed it, a bunch of keys failed to respond. Checked the return policy – just 30 days. Frustration level spiked! Unfortunately, my usual computer repair expert had retired, leaving me stranded. After much delay, I managed to have it looked at. The verdict came with a hefty price tag – $355 to replace the entire keyboard, surpassing the laptop’s initial cost. Beyond disappointed with ASUS!
Luz –
Solid Performance with Minor Storage Hiccups. ASUS products have always won my favor, and this laptop is no exception. My only gripe is the limited storage. It’s baffling that my phone boasts more space than this laptop, and I can’t seem to locate an SD card slot. So, ensure your needs align with this laptop’s storage capacity before taking the plunge. That said, it handles everything I require with its modest storage.
Sheila –
Perfect for Everyday Tasks. While I can’t vouch for its performance with resource-intensive programs, I must say that for my needs – involving a handful of applications and basic professional documentation and spreadsheets – this laptop has proven to be a consistently reliable purchase, and the price was truly a steal.
Rivers –
Sluggish as a Snail. it’s slower than you can imagine. Celeron processors are a major letdown, and 4GB of RAM simply fall short. My intentions were basic – internet browsing and Microsoft Office use. Yet, it’s as if neither task has even begun due to the painstaking slowness. Don’t waste your time, money, or energy. Seek alternatives, seriously.
Amy –
Good inexpensive laptop. I like the laptop PC so far as I’m very happy that I made the right decision to go for it, price not too bad, it has good performance, my other laptop is a HP, it is a great laptop to me, slim, fast and light, inexpensive, good, very reliable, good battery life, decent price, Windows 11 is a good windows to me

Nice and sleek. Love the color and is surprisingly durable. It recently fell off a desk onto linoleum flooring and with-stood the fall and still works just fine.

Worth it! If you’re needing a home computer for day to day functions, resumes, social networking, shopping, etc. This is deal you can’t pass up.
With the extras that come with the purchase, it’s a steal. After initial set up, it’s fast and efficient. Did I mention affordable?

I need a refund or replacement. I dislike about the laptop is that you can’t never find the cursor. It will don’t allow your phone to sync in so your stuff could be on the computer. I’m just not a happy Customer

windows update is impossible to stop. i bought these for kids in kindergarten, and they’re decent laptops, but even though I tried my best to shut off all of the Windows updates crap, it came back on one of the laptops and the girl I bought it for wasn’t able to use it until I shut it back off. nobody wants Microsoft edge, nobody wants to be nagged about Microsoft edge, and all the widgets dumb crap they got in this new version, she just stay shut off after the first time they’re turned off. I don’t even know who thinks turning them on by default is a good idea, but it’s sad you can’t even buy somebody a PC unless they’re a tech wizard, because it’s more important to Microsoft that you use their crap than that your PC even work. and that’s really how bad the updates are, if you don’t know what to press, you can do a lot of damage to your system. The touchpads on both laptops work bad, and since i bought them wireless mice it isnt a huge deal, but i dont know why the built in touchpad is screwing up. girls love roblox and Minecraft, way better than a switch because you can do more

Good Basic but Nothing Special Computer….. Computer works fine as long as you don’t give it too much to do too quickly. Any more than 3 windows open and computer will freeze. Then it will stall and play dumb, screen will go black, and then it will go into update mode, which lasts 15 mins.
The only way around this is to, like we did in the 1990’s, turn the power off and on a couple times.
I would recommend this computer for a person who doesn’t need much from a computer beyond shopping, news, weather, and FB…….

Poor Craftsmanship. I purchased this laptop and within 2 weeks, the P key popped off. The next day a piece of plastic on the hinge came off. It was freezing and a couple of times it got hot. I tried to call once and the automated system stressed me out, then got no rep when it was being connected to a representative, it disconnected the call. The automated system was so bad that I decided not to call back because I didn’t want to be on hold. I didn’t want to do anything I didn’t wanna have to go through the same situation with the automated system again, so I gave up and gave the computer my grandson.

GREAT PERSONAL, SCHOOL, OR WORK LAPTOP
It has been a while since I have been happy with a purchase, but it finally happened. This laptop is performing up to spec. This laptop is great for research, school, work, etc. However, remember this is not a gaming laptop. You will not be disappointed!

Top notch quality for budget laptop
Resolution and graphic quality is top notch among its peer products. keyboard has an extended numeral panel which is of great help and omit the need for a external keyboard. Keypad keys are very comfortable to use with added benefit of backlit. They even provided extended warranty of 90 days for posting review comments.Overall very good budget laptop and an excellent customer service

Pretty good
Nothing to complain about, you get what you pay for. The reason why I deducted a star is because I was expecting its battery life to last a little longer than it does. But it’s good.

Great budget laptop
We bought this for school, but we are surprised to see the performance. The backlight keyboard is a great option that some times even top laptops don’t have, so is nice to have it. The screen is great, good colors and excellent view angle.

Good Laptop. No Complaints.
Good screen size. Good battery. Good keyboard. Just a good machine overall. I dig the back-lit keyboard, which was one of my reasons for selecting this specific laptop. After using it for several months, I have no complaints.

LOUD HARD DRIVE
Got the Laptop in a week. Runs great and picture quality is great. But the Hard Drive is so loud!!!! I think is because the fan can only vent out from a small space. So the hard drive is constantly running at higher frequency. I can’t stand watching a video while the laptop internal sound is so loud. So had to return it.

Exactly what you’d expect, in a good way.
The used condition was trusted to be “good”, and it was. No major scratches or anything wrong with it anywhere honestly. I’m not knowledgeable when it comes to computers, so I cannot speak on the perfermance. Other than, it was what I expected it to be at least, for the price.

Great school computer for kids
I bought this for my 12 yo daughter for Christmas and it has been working great! She uses it for school and light gaming (Roadblox and The Sims). Setup was easy and straightforward. Might purchase a second for myself as a backup laptop.

Almost Great
If it weren’t for the comically terrible battery this would be a 5 star review. Seriously, the battery in my cheap Samsung AO2 phone lasts at least 3x as long just watching YouTube videos. Aside from that I’m totally happy with the laptop.

reasonable very basic laptop but double check you get what you asked for
I ordered (and paid for) a version of this laptop with 8 GB of RAM. when it arrived it was barely usable, come to figure out eventually, they had shipped one with only 4 GB of RAM (not really adequate to run Windows 11 in the real world). The vendor said the 8 GB version was not actually available and refunded me $50 which covered an upgrade, which is easily enough done. It made a *huge* difference in usability and speed. including, most interestingly to me, the network speed: I routinely measured it at 30 Mb/s before the upgrade, and ~300 Mb/s after (similar to what my other devices get).

battery is dissapointing
The battery is way worse than expected so be sure to carry your charger regardless of power mode. it can go off the charger just not for too long at all. other than that it seems to have awesome preformance and features for the price.

Some Regrets
Wish I had bought one with a longer battery life and larger SSD. Battery lasts 3-4 hours. The 128 GB SSD is marginal for Iphone backups. My Iphone backup is 35 GB. Add Windows, another Iphone and some photos — you’re done! But the screen is pretty good and it’s less than 4 lb.Empty bay is availabe for a 2.5″ SATA SSD (bring your own cable).

Great computer for a really great price!
I absolutely love this laptop. It’s nothing fancy but it has all the features I was looking for. The backlit keyboard was a must for me but *most* brands tack on an extra $200 – $300 for this feature. And the fingerprint recognition super exceeds the one on my previous HP computer, which NEVER worked properly; this one has never failed. I’m not sure how it would stack up for business use, but for everyday use – it’s very fast and the graphics are really great. I’ve only had it for a few weeks, but so far – so good!

Wouldn’t recommend
I bought this name brand because my church has one that works well for them. I’ve realized however that my daily use requires more than one only used once per week for a couple of hours.Yesterday I had to go buy a mouse because it somehow turned off the touchpad without me going into settings. Another time the screen went out for a day. To be clear, most of the time it has worked fine, but having only purchased it 5 months ago, I shouldn’t be having problems at all yet.

Beware! Dimensions are wrong – it’s bigger than the listing
If you’re buying this based on size, DON’T! It might be a good laptop, haven’t received it yet, but the listed dimensions are too small and Amazon won’t let me submit an incorrect product information report. It’s geometrically impossible to fit a 15.6 diagonal screen in a 12.6 x 8.3 box. The Asus site says this model is 14.17 x 9.25 x 0.78Will change the review when the listing gets corrected.

Great Solid Laptop
I’ve been buying vivobooks for several yrs now. I got my first 1 in 2014? I spilled redbull on my old vivobook and got this 1 as a replacement. 2 months before I bought these 2 for my daughter and me, I recommended it to my live-in boyfriend. He was able to download all the fairly large programs he typically uses for music, and is very happy. I’ve had mine for 3 days now and I love it. My daughter is able to access and download all her games, and is enjoying the speed and reliability that I’ve enjoyed from this brand for so many years. Her previous pc was an hp and she seems to like this 1 better. I use mine to work full time from home for a bank, and I chose it because of the reliability of the previous experience I have with it. We got all 3 laptops from this particular seller.

Works well. Mine is the i3, 8 GB RAM, 128 GB SSD
Initial review as of first day’s use: It seems like a good laptop computer. The screen is okay, seems clear and bright. I like that the hinge seems tight and quality. The keys on the laptop are well spaced and feel good to type on. I haven’t had any issues using they keyboard expect that there is no keyboard backlight. The listing advertises that it has a backlit keyboard – it does NOT.The sticker on the bottom of the laptop where it has the serial number states the model number is F515EA-WS31.I verified that the laptop has 8 GB RAM as expected, and 128 GB SSD. FYI after setting up the initial user account and installing some Windows Updates and a different web browser, the SSD has free space of 74.6 GB.I don’t care for Windows 11, but at least I have a working computer. I am pleased with it’s performance so far. It’s just what I needed.I will update this review with how long the battery lasts. I set up the computer on battery power right out of the box. It wasn’t until I was in my new Windows user account before I could see the battery percentage. It was at 30%!The charging cable isn’t what I expected to see. It is a one-piece cord with an attached brick. I expected to see the two piece annoying-to-use charging cord. I like this style much better!I don’t know if the USB-C port allows for charging while turned off. I will test that out and add that to the updated review at a later date.

Fantastic computer shipped the day I ordered it. 😀
I put off purchasing a new computer for a number of years, but when my old one began deleting items so it could upgrade – it became a necessity. I had it narrowed down to 2 and after a candid conversation with my tech-savvy son I decided on the Asus. Windows 11, 8GB, great graphics and of course price made this the best option for me. So far, so good. It transferred data from my old computer in record time. I definitely have a learning curve regarding many of the new features included in this computer, but I’m sure I am up to the challenge.

FALSE ADVERTISING DO NOT BUY THIS COMPUTER
Let me start off by saying, WOW what a terrible this experience has been. I wish there was a negative rating for this experience. If you want to save yourself a few years off your life, DO NOT BUY THIS COMPUTER. Customer service has been an absolute nightmare and has gotten me a whopping $25 promotional gift card to use with another purchase. The computer is FALSE ADVERTISED, and I am positive about this having received 2- an original order and a replacement. There is absolutely no back lit keyboard AS PROMISED IN THE DESCRIPTION. I have spoken with multiple amazon reps and had 1 person who could actually understand the issue and have half decent responses to my questions. As I was told to do multiple times, pressing f7 or fn and F7 does nothing because there is no back lit keyboard option to begin with. The computer seems to run OK besides the fact they lie in the description. With that being said, I will never be ordering an electronic device from Amazon ever again. Don’t take your chances on this false advertisement.

OK for lower end laptop
The price was good, and it is easy to work on. I like that it has a 10 key. Of course, that made the laptop dimensions wider to accommodate and it took awhile to learn the keyboard which is spaced differently than my last one. Power on/off button is part of the keyboard, rather than separate. Don’t prefer that, but getting used to it. I would like the charging cord to be at least 12″ longer. The feature I like least is that it is only an intel i3 core. I didn’t realize that just because it is newer, it isn’t necessarily faster. My last laptop that I got 2 years ago and paid about the same price had an i15 core and was noticeably faster. It is not a major difference for what I use my laptop for, but it might negatively effect the work you do on a computer, such as spreadsheets, etc.

Worth it
Bought this last year as a gift to my dad for $300.My dad’s old laptop was a samsung chromebook 3 and it was overdue for an upgrade.I wanted something that wouldn’t lag when streaming videos and has a large screen. I also wanted a backlit keyboard so he can use it in the dark. This laptop checks all the boxes. My dad isn’t exactly gentle with the laptop (as I noticed he uses it as a coaster) and the cats like to use it as a launching pad, so the fact that it survived half a year without any issues popping up is impressive.

Laptop Unfixed by Asus Support for 2 months
Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Started crashing 2 months after purchase. Sent the machine in twice (very slow delivery too), and both times support re-imaged the machine without checking the problem I reported (they just re-image without testing or reading what the issue was). Finally got them to agree to replacement, and it has been 3 weeks now without receiving the replacement and they just tell you to be patient since they are doing you a favor (replacements are not in their policy). I was now informed I will receive a different build replacement with slower CPU (but more RAM – no idea how the RAM compared to original though)! Will never buy Asus again! I was using this for work!

worst battery life of any computer
I bought this on a special deal day – and it is a ridiculous machine. Just doing simple internet searches the battery life is just over 2 hours. That’s with the battery saver mode turned on. Really not worth the price I paid.

No backlit keyboard!!!
Product description clearly states backlit keyboard included, but surprise, NO backlit keyboard option. 2nd Asus laptop returned within one week for identical issue.

MY battery died without warning and can find a replacement. Asus is engaged in the racket of not providingreplacement batteries. Terrible company.

It is not the characteristics that the publication indicates

I bought this laptop that met the features I was looking for, specifically the backlit keyboard and fingerprint sensor, which neither of them have, I received the item and unfortunately it is not the same as what appears in the product description, I am sorry dissatisfied since I expected to acquire what I bought
