This is my first smart watch, so I don’t know why paying hundreds of dollars for the name-brands would be worth it. I paid $75 for this on Black Friday and I have had it several weeks now and am very happy with its performance and battery life, available apps, and things it measures, and accuracy. This has the features of a digital watch for legibly telling time, day of week, and month and date. It has the features of a health tracker. It has afeatures of a workout watch. Everything is plenty accurate (do you really need a perfect measure of your heart rate, or just a relative one?); I’ve read that this brand has actually beaten the pricier competition in accuracy comparisons on steps. I find it quite accurate for steps and distance walked. Three things I don’t like: (1) screen does not stay on all the time to save battery. You have to shake your arm or push the side button to turn it on. That is annoying because I often just want to glance at my watch in the middle of doing things to see what time it is. I feel like they could make an optional mode that would use some sort of low power blacka nd white display mode to just show time, day, date. (2) Watch and app interfaces have a hundred options and a confusing array of menu items you have to trail down to find any given feature. Maybe I will learn it over time, but it is a mess. But the watch is very configurable so you can at least hide features you don’t use so you have a better chance of finding the ones you want (lets see, do I swipe up, down, left or right for that?). I find “Olympics Color” to be the best free watch face…no waste of space on decoration and shows pretty much all the measured variables. (3) No detailed users manual…anywhere; however, when I have a specific question about how to find a feature, I google it, and have always gotten a good answer, so maybe I don’t need a manual. But that means there could be features I don’t know to even ask for that are available and I will never know about them. Oh well, $75. UPDATE: To keep the “Always On Display” you can buy an AOD watch face, or built-in, you can make it stay on for 20 min at a time…go to Control Center on the watch and click the plus sign to add the option for “Keep Screen Lit”

I’ve learned that with smart watches you always need to make a tradeoff. I like my smart watches to have fitness tracking, phone notifications, and LONG battery. Personally, battery is my main concern. I hate having to recharge a watch every day. This is the perfect smart watch I was looking for. It has enough battery so I don’t have to worry about it too frequently (10 days on easy use, 6-7 for me personally as I work out with it two or three times a week and that consumes more battery). It has very good fitness tracking features, which is mostly what I was looking for. I’ve found the sleep tracking to be very accurate, even detecting those small midnight wake ups every now and then. Of course, since this is Zepp OS, it doesn’t have too many apps and additional features to use, but that is also what helps the battery last so much. The Zepp App is a bit confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it, it has a lot of useful information, and it’s a lot easier to see and set up the watch from it, then having to set it in the smaller watch face. I manage and set up most of the watch settings options from the smartphone app.If you are looking to respond to Whatsapps, use Google Maps, and use more complex apps in your smartphone, then this is not for you. Look for a Samsung one, but the trade off is the battery will be considerably shorter. If you are looking for a very long battery life and absolutely only fitness tracking, then you should look into a smart band, instead of a smart watch. If you are like me, and are looking for that ideal middle point at a budget friendly price, then this is what you are looking for. This is exactly what I wanted. Very happy with my purchase.

I decided to try out this watch instead of buying a new Fitbit or even instead of signing up for the new yearly Fitbit subscription because it seemed like it was not only on par but possibly better than a Fitbit but also I liked how the software didn’t have an annual subscription cost.As someone who exclusively used Fitbit before I am amazed with this watch. It not only works better, syncs faster, and lasts longer than my Fitbit I like the way it looks better too. I really like the software as well, it does all of the same things and I think more than my Fitbit software even when I paid for it.I am a disabled cancer survivor so I do need to make sure I keep an eye on my steps, and things like my heart rate throughout the day. I also really appreciate the sleep tracker because a lot of my health issues also make me have terrible insomnia and knowing when Ive actually slept and when I need to maybe rest more is very helpful. I also really like that this one has a built-in gps. All of my other smart watches didn’t have built-in GPS but even when I had my phone along for the ride the GPS never worked well. Some of them it never worked at all. Using this one I take my dog for a walk and just turn my watch on to record my trip and everything works perfectly, every time even when I don’t have my phone. And the biggest surprise was the battery life. I have had this watch last me a week or more. I’m not even sure how it does that, as my old Fitbit had to be charged every 2 days. And even when I had a Fitbit without the screen it still had to be charged more often than this watch. It will be going on about 5 months that I’ve had this now, and it still looks brand new as well. I also really appreciate that the bands are much more affordable than trying to buy replacement Fitbit bands. Overall I am not only happy I found this watch but I am a converted loyal customer to this brand. If I need to replace this, which I’m sure at some point I will, it will definitely be a watch from this same brand.

I have had several FitBit watches and my most recent smart watch was a Garmin and when I started having problems with my Garmin, I bought a cheapo exercise/smart watch before buying this AmazFit Bip 5. I wouldn’t trade it for anything else.Top Reasons:1. Large clear screen – I have to use reading glasses, with the other watches I could squint to see in general where a message was from but not read any of the message. With this big screen, I don’t have to pull out my readers to get a quick preview of the messages.2. Battery life – it has been amazing and the watch warns you about features which take more battery.3. Configuration of messages – Garmin was pretty good at allowing me to choose which messages to see on the watch. This AmazFit is much better and the messages are grouped better on the watch.4. Alexa built-in – This has been nice but not a deal maker or deal breaker. It is nice to talk to and hear from Alexa on my watch.5. Exercise and fitness – I feel like this watch and app was quite a step up from my Garmin experience which I felt was already top-of-line. It has already helped me change my exercise routine.6. Sound – I like that the watch can play messages. I like the workout summary that it reads off at the end of a workout.Other things:================Watch faces: There aren’t as many as Garmin and few free ones. But I was able to find a couple that I like and the price was very reasonable. Currently I am using “Versatile Digits”. Also, some of the faces allow you to modify the layout on the watch and you can switch between installed faces directly on the watch.Phone App: It has been very stable and I like it well enough (better than two separate apps with Garmin). Some initial challenges finding things, but no big complaints.

Tldr; I love this watch. It has changed my life.Read on…I’d had a Fitbit Versa for nearly 3 years. Loved it, but then one day it literally fell off my wrist while I was at an event, and I didn’t notice it was gone until hours later. Retraced my steps, but never found it.So hunting for a replacement, I searched reviews for budget health watches. This Amazfit Bip Pro cost a third the price of a new Fitbit, with similar features. Purchased it. Set it up. Pleased with it…Except that it didn’t do one thing my Fitbit did: give me overnight sp02 readings. I miss that feature, because I’ve tracked my nighttime blood oxygen level for a year, and it seems to dip overnight. Average readings were 92%. I was concerned but had no idea what was causing it.Well, what Fitbit did not have, the Amazfit does: the reason that my sp02 dips at night: sleep apnea/hypopnea. From the very first night with my Amazfit, I was showing high risk hypopnea readings, +35 average, with some nights having +80 hypopnea events. It wasn’t until the consistent high risk hypopnea readings that I googled hypopnea and put all my symptoms together for female sleep apnea (poor rem sleep, drops in resting heart rate as well as resting sp02, daytime sleepiness, mild snoring, 20lbs overweight, late 50’s senior). I just thought this was all part of getting old! I never used to snore. I used to get better rem sleep. I never used to fall asleep in the daytime if I sat still. But like I said, I’d never connected the separate dots until wearing the Amazfit. So I downloaded an app, Snore Lab, to record myself snoring, and confirm I was actually having a problem. Um yeah, it isn’t super loud, but it was all night long snoring, every night! So now I’m using a cpap, and it is beginning to make a difference. Normal sp02, few if any hypopnea events, and my CPAP is giving me good data. Cpap therapy is taking a bit of getting used to, but I’m already noticing less sleepiness mid afternoon, and my waking sp02 on my Amazfit watch says a consistent 98% instead of low 90’s. Snore Lab results are excellent, normal sleep with no more snoring (it records the sound of me using my cpap mask, which is great).I hope this review helps you look at your own sleep patterns and if you’re having signs like mine, get checked out for sleep apnea!

So to start with, I like the tracker. I have been a die hard fitbit user for 9 years. I have had 6 different trackers and all except 1 were because after about a year the fitbit malfunctioned and I was not able to reset or get it to work. After this last one failed I have sworn off Fitbit. 2 of the fitbits were purchased off ebay as a new unopened item and when they failed Fitbit would not honor the warranty even tho both of these trackers were well withing the 1 year warranty. One of which was only 4 months when it just suddenly quit and would not hold charge. Fitbit will not honor their product warranty if it is not purchased by an authorized dealer/retailer. So to be fair…The jury is still out on this tracker since I haven’t had it long enough to see how it lasts, but what I can tell you is that is is a fantastic fitness tracker and while I am still getting used to a new app this Amazfit 3 pro has all the functionality of the fitbit and the app is fine, just a little different. Battery life is super impressive as after 5 days I still have 72% charge.Stay tuned….

I researched Smart watches before I picked this one. I really just wanted to keep track of my sleep because I just don’t feelike I get enough. So I will start with that. This watch keeps track of REM,deep sleep, amount of time with each,it also monitors your breathing and mine is always reading at risk for both breaths and heart rate while sleeping.Next is keeping track of blood O2 , heart rate ,steps and it reminds you to walk and stand every hour. It seems to do a good job with this all. I keep mine on vibrate it’s a just enough for you to feel on low it really vibrants on high. It has weather monitoring for your area but it’s been about – 2 degrees from actual temperatures and the wind never is correct. It monitors a lot of other things as in exercise but I don’t use them. Now the phone wow it’s amazingly clear and I can hear callers perfect and they can hear me well and clear too. I bought pink so remember the whole watch is the same color so be sure if you want to change band color .I can’t compare it to anything but I love this

I started with a Fitbit. That broke because it got wet and Fitbit did not honor the warranty because I didn’t buy it from them. Then I got 3 other cheaper phones. They all sucked because of various reasons. Then I got this Amazfit watch. I am so happy that all of the features work and the Zepp app has a ton of good info on it. It seems easy enough to get accessories. I already replaced the band. I do have to get 2 more charging cords, but I haven’t looked yet.

I had a FitBit for years and hated the fact I had to charge it every 3 days. When the cost went up with no improvements in the battery life I bought my Amazfit Bip 5. I love this watch and only have to charge it every 10 days or so. It does everything the other brand did and more. The only thing I wish they would do is sell a velcro watchband for those of us who are allergic to metal. Mine even caused problems with the little tongue on the buckle. I break out with anything with nickel in it. I ordered others that claim to fit but finally cut the pins out of the watchband that came with the watch and used it on a velcro one i bought online. Finally no breakout on my wrist. Thanks for a wonderful watch.
