UPDATE: As I was deciding if I liked this style to wanted something ‘bigger’ I noticed on this items it was covered by warranty. Messaging back and forth with the seller, they kindly replaced this item – 5 of 5 customer service stars! As previously noted, the stem fractured at the base of any connection after falling over rendering it unuseable. I was honest the cause of use and truly appreciate the vendor replacing so that I can start a new season livestreaming. This is a great travel size and really was not looking forward to a larger option. FYI – This past week I livestreamed with another recording by cell with a much larger stand. I truly appreciate how quickly I can set this up and though I needed to position on a sloped incline, the adjustability of the phone holder and angles still provided a great view. Thank you! I purchased this to livestream using my iphone volleyball games. Our club had another tripod that was more complex and more complex to set up and was always having issues. With travel, this is compact and easy to set up. (I never used the bluetooth remote or other connectors). With volleyball, I need to stay next to stand to protect both my phone and tripod. The phone connector was simple and easy to adjust both locations and angles and stayed sturdy. One challenge was the volume control – I livestream with my phone sideways. The compression to best balance hits near the volume controls. so it’s offcenter/balance to not have those interfere. We had one tournament that was a 2nd level above view and the height adjustability as well as the variety of locking angles (up/down) was so simple and easy and secure. Unfortunately a ricochet ball bounced into the tripod (no phone) and knocked it down. The tripod broke at the base stem, rendering it unuseable. We taped the backside of the phone holder to the top few inches of the stem to be able to live stream those last games, but all functionality except holding the phone at at now shorter height is gone. I am evaluating purchasing this again or another option as we may switch from my phone to a tablet with app scoring overlay for the next season. In all – I gave it a rating of 2 for sturdiness of 1 because with tipping over (which again, I did my best to avoid) it snapped and basically shattered. Again, my fault, but not a completely unexpected possibility of happening. More positive features are the simplicity of set up and it was super compact and lightweight for travel. It was a good little tripod for what we needed.

Got this after I went through a couple of the flexible leg mini tripods. After so much twisting, the legs would eventually snap off. Was left with a couple of Unipods after a month or two of heavy use. I can confidently say this design will not have that issue and is probably one of the most intuitively designed and well executed extendable tripods on the market today.I use a tripod for outdoorsy videos almost every day, so bulkiness and weight are very important factors to me. Even light objects seem heavy after 3 hours of lugging them around under the midday sun. This tripod is both compact and extremely lightweight. A carrying bag is included that can easily be slung over your shoulder or attached to a backpack. Kudos to the manufacturer for including something so seemingly trivial, yet so vital for traveling photography. Details matter.Insofar as features, this tripod/selfie stick has everything you could want. A handle for smoother panning shots might be convenient in a later model, but would of course add weight and bulkiness. As it is, this model is wonderful. It’s designed thoughtfully and use is not complicated at all. It is very easy to achieve any angle you desire when your phone is mounted and the mount itself is built well and is much more reliable than the spring-loaded ones which tend to fail quite often in my experience. Especially since this also functions as a selfie stick, you want your phone to be completely secure in the mount. I can be confident that my phone will not fall out of this bracket even when it’s 60” away from me and tilted at all kinds of odd angles.The included remote works great and I love how there’s a slot for it built into one of the tripod’s legs. This enables easy shots when in selfie stick mode as well as adds to the overall ease of traveling with it. The bluetooth connection for it seems to be very stable and was super simple to set up.The only con I can possibly see with this design is it might have issues in high wind situations. It’s very thin and lightweight. Even though it’s built very well, the main extendable column is still very skinny and lightweight at the end of the day. I could see winds over 40 mph being a major problem for this tripod. It’s the trade off you get for making the product so lightweight and travel friendly.Overall, I would highly recommend this tripod to anyone who takes videos on the go and needs their shots to look more stable and professional. I’d give it 6 stars if I could. Oh and get it in white. It’s sleeeeeek!

UPDATE : I had placed the original review at 4 stars, as it was not a material/craftsmanship problem, but rather a “my equilibrium” problem (actual medical problem exceeding “clumsy.” I’ve also accidentally been in drywall. No fault of the drywall 😬).PLEASE NOTE – I didn’t merely tip this guy over – I took it out with actual momentum and force. Involuntary, but *far* exceeding normal accidental circumstances, nonetheless. I have victimized objects that are much more substantial than a tripod. My original review was favorable (this thing is super cool) even before the seller was kind enough to contact me. I had never complained as the build/materials were not defective. I also made it clear to her in private messages that she shouldn’t have to replace, as their was nothing wrong with the product at all. “It’s not you, it’s me” 💁🏻‍♀️(What’s that word kids use for essentially chucking something?) It was extended to maximum height. I have a concrete patio. Add in me barreling at it, and you have a recipe for maximum damage potential. I was impressed with the product – it has a lot more going for it that any other stand/ tripod that I have seen. I assessed if favorably. It would be unreasonable to be dissatisfied with it when the product was in no way inferior.So, not their fault. Despite my clumsy self being the cause of the break and not a defective product, they offered to send me a new one. I really appreciate that. As stated in the original review, the adjustability, build and quality were impressive. They certainly weren’t obligated to send another, as it was my fault.(Previous) I managed to accidentally take this out during setup. Their is only one part that happens to be solid plastic and doesn’t have adjustment/flexibility – the very top, where the stick meets the housing. It is not their fault that I knocked it over. It is solidly built, I just took it out with clumsiness and hit just the right (wrong?) spot. Not a product defect. At any rate, it was easy to connect with the remote. Very nice looking. The adjustability was very good as far as angles that you can place the phone. The part that holds the phone was nice – you didn’t have to fight springs. It adjusts with a screw mechanism. I really hate the spring ones, so that was a definite high point. Very helpful in general, but especially for those of us with dexterity issues. There is a knob that adjusts that part. It articulated down very easily, and much farther than any other product that I have tried. The telescope adjustment was firm, but not something that you have to fight. It seems very sturdy and was stable on the tripods, when I had actually had it seated right instead of being excited to take a picture of my dog. The bag was nice, and the remote holder is a very useful addition for someone that loses everything. With it being small, giving the ability to leave it attached to the tripod was a well thought out design.

I have two high dollar camera tripods I was gifted a decade ago. I’ve used them a handful of times. This thing? I’ve used it a hundred times since May.It is SO EASY to set up for monopod, short, tall, tripod, whatever use you need. I’ve filmed entire basketball games with it, school concert performances, recorded blogs, etc. It’s not a flex, it makes everything I’m trying to do so much easier (and less tiring — you try holding a camera up for two hours!).It’s lightweight, and even the few places where tripods are not allowed because most people put them in the way of others, this thing makes it through and I’m able to use it responsibly without inconveniencing anyone. I would buy this ten more times if I had to. Can’t wait to gift it to others.
