Hangs on food
I hoped this would work as well as the one I’ve been using but, this one hangs on the food and you have to open it and pry the blades out of the items such as carrots, onions, potatoes, etc. Dangerous on my fingers. Once you get it going, it will mince items but does leave some chunks. It’s ok for the price but not as ez as my other brand.

Love this thing!
I absolutely love this thing! I like eating salads, but hate that the lettuce are always so big. I purchased this so I could cut the lettuce down for easier consumption and I’m so glad I did! It’s very easy to use, the blades are nice and sharp, pending how many times you pull the string, you can get your lettuce in pretty darn small pieces! It’s pretty easy to clean, I just hope it stands the test of time and lasts me a long while!

I do love my chopper, but hope it lasts!!
It works like a charm once you get the hang of placing the items in properly. The only problem is the container is made of hard plastic. If it falls it would crack & so needs to be handled carefully. It’s a good product, quite well made & handy, AND I LOVE USING IT. Washes out easily too!! A little over priced for the size & the materials it’s made of – shouldn’t cost so much!!

Easy and quick
I bought this to chop up frozen vegetables for my dogs. I defrost the vegetables and insert in the chopper. Just 4 to 5 pulls and the vegetables are chopped. No cutting board or knife needed. I simply rinse the blades and chopper container and wipe the lid. Done!

Just okay
This is okay, but doesn’t compare to my last one. I bought a slicer several years ago from a different seller. It’s a different brand and it has two compartments. I needed a new one. This one is much smaller and the blades aren’t large enough to cut up all the veggies. There should be more blades and they should go to the top. You do not get even slicing. I always have huge onion chunks. With my last one, I didn’t have to open it until I was done. With this one, you have to open numerous times to move the veggies around. I would not recommend nor would I buy this again.

My new favorite thing
LOVE LOVE LOVE this very basic kitchen gadget. I chunky chop an onion, put it in this little thing, pull the cord like I’m starting up a lawn mower (only much, much easier) maybe 7 to 10 scant pulls and VOILA! diced onions (pull just a few more times for minced). I got the one that is not the smallest, I think the one just a bit bigger and it’s wonderful. I use this almost everyday. Highly recommend!!!

Best investment ever! Chopping had become so much easier with this, just remember to chop hard vegetables like carrots into smaller pieces before putting in the chopped! Also use a brush to clean the blade, they are very sharp!

Compact, easy to use

Excellent little chopper/whipper
For smaller amounts this little chopper can’t be beat. A member of my household has trouble eating, so I use this chopper to chop cabbage extremely fine for easy-to-eat coleslaw. It also chops onions without causing tears, and whips whipping cream fast. Blades are extremely sharp, so care is necessary when handling them.

Crescent shaped blades. Seems to work fine. Smoked color plastic bowl. Maybe just me, but found it awkward to get top on the center stem the first time. I’ve used another brand which broke so I’m lost without one, especially for onions.

This is great for Senior Pets w/Dental Issues
Our senior dog just recently has gone thru dental work and we needed a “chopper” to have his food smaller ! This works great finely chopped his food, easy handle, rubber on bottom allows the bowl to stay put and not move around….YUP Blades are very sharp and use caution when washing them !! Added benefit it is somewhat quiet when using it !

Good little chopper
I purchased the medium size, and it is perfect for my needs to chop onions and tomatoes. The blades are sharp. Care needs to be taken to make contents around in case the blades don’t move. Once adjusted, the blades work well. The trick is not to put too big pieces inside it and not to stuff it to full.

Works as described, used about 10 times so far, works perfect, study, easy to clean
Frankly, I was surprised, for the price value, I expected that it was possibly a cheap product that only worked marginally. But it is working great. So far we have used it to chop up ham from a full big ham we cut pieces about half inch to three qtr inch square, and chopped them for sandwiches and for mixing with eggs. We boiled some eggs, and at one per sandwich, we break them open, add a little ham from the chopped ham and onions also chopped in the little gem of a chopper. Take the blade out, clean it after using, pour contents in a zip lock, or leave in the bowl of the chopper for use within the day. Any longer and someone in the family is putting it in a baggie and using it for something else. We purchased the smallest one in clear green. I can easily envision we will be getting a whole set; the medium and large ones also. But, the little one seems like it is going to be used often and is able to take nearly daily use mechanically. I am so happy real engineering went into its construction, and it wasn’t yet another device designed by a marketing department to sell, and without regard to durability and utility. Care with the blades is important, don’t let them soak even 10 minutes in anything, rinse with a little soap, and put in drying rack. We found 4 string pulls renders a medium chopped up food, and 8 a small pieces chop. Also, unlike when using a knife the bits tend to be square and not as enjoyable to chew; this little chopper chops them in all sorts of shapes allowing the food flavor to enjoyed. TO THE MFG: I know this is a big ask, but maybe you could design a ice cube chopper to make chopped ice for beverages? I realize it would be more expensive and need to be more durable, but I have purchased several kinds of choppers, and none work. Perhaps you have the engineering know how?

This chopper is awesome! I have been looking at them for years, and never bought one. Shame on me!~~I’m a bit old, have been canning and food preservation for longer/older than many who may even read this. I have Vitamix, KitchenAid food processor, Nicer Dicer all kind of appliances and gadgets.Why is this lil jewel awesome?*#1 Requires no electricity. Pull the string (which is very easy to do) a few (5-10) times based on your desired consistency, and it is done. Chopped, diced, minced.~*It works so very well for small batches of stuff. i.e. dicing/chopping/mincing an onion, peppers, tomatoes, etc. But also for dump and repeat. I just used it to mince a few cups (about a half 5 gal. bucket) of Jalapeno, and Serrano peppers to freeze/freeze dry, and it worked very well and quickly. ~~Tip: it will NOT grate/chop the seeds, so if you do not want the seeds/added heat, use a teaspoon and scoop the seeds out of the pepper. Plz wear gloves 😊~*Cleanup is easy as one to three.Once again, I cannot answer to longevity, as I have only had it a month or so. Just remember the lid (with the cord) should just be rinsed, etc by hand. No dishwasher, it is after all a cord wrapped around at spindle kinda thing.~~I highly recommend, believe you will love it, and use it many, many times even makes great salsa! Especially for the price and ease of use/clean up.

For me a must have.
I just received this the other day and have used it twice now in two days. I use it to finely chop up all types of fresh veggies for a salad that I then put into pita bread. If i could rate this more then 5 stars I would. Im 70 years old and have no problems at all pulling the string handle. It takes me about 6 pulls and my veggies are the size i prefer them to be.

Great Chopper!
Perfect for all your vegetable chopping needs. Easy to load. Easy to use. Easy to clean. We even used it to turn granulated sugar into powdered sugar – it took a bit of pulling, but it worked! I would never have believed it unless I had seen it myself! Seems so gimmicky, but it works so well!! I threw out all my other choppers once I saw how easy this one is to use. Lid keeps my eyes from crying when chopping onions. It’s super easy to clear, and it chops things beautifully! Great gift and super practical!

Very Convenient
Has cut my chopping time down significantly. When making a salsa I just wash everything and place in pieces then pull the string for like 4 times and everything chopped very fast! Only down side is the cap can restrain water so it’s better to hand wash and not put in the dishwasher.

Low-tech & old school, but it works great for salads & small amounts of fruits & vegetables
I hate chopping vegetables. Sometimes I’ll even use scissors rather than a knife. Was thinking about buying a food processor but seemed like overkill since I usually only cook for 1 or 2. This little bowl is not only attractive to have in one’s kitchen but works exceedingly well for small amounts of vegetables or fruits. The blades are super sharp (so watch your fingers while washing or rinsing out). I made the above salad & several other dishes using this. It’s easy to clean & doesn’t take up any real estate in your kitchen.After a week or two of using this, going slow & counting how many pulls I needed to do, I pretty much have it down on how many pulls it takes for certain fruits & vegetables & how small I want the pieces to be. Don’t underestimate its capabilities because of its size. When I first tried it on a Roma tomato, I really went to town, pulling the handle a bunch of times & I practically had made chunky tomato sauce when I meant to dice them.I haven’t had a problem with the cord not rewinding but read somewhere (probably here) & in the instructions not to pull the cord out too far as it might not rewind. If you’re of a certain age, you might remember the days of talking dolls where if you pulled the sting too tight, it wouldn’t slide back up in the doll. Bummer. So handle with care & respect that for its dimunitive size, it can do a super job!

Works Really Well.
I found that I didn’t look at the size when I brought this device so when it came, it was a bit bigger than expected. However, I find that a boon now especially if I’m meal prepping or mixing up larger sauces in that I can chop everything in one go instead of batches. I do want to note that if you’re using this device for one or two little thing, it might not work as well, especially if the object is small (like a clove of garlic, for example). I do find that the things that you’re chopping tends to stick to the sides/top after a few “spins”, but you can give the chopper a good shake in between “spins” and that should solve the problem so you don’t have to open the container to scrape the chopped materials back to the center of the bowl again. Will definitely re-purchase this item it it ever does break down (which hopefully won’t be a while yet, as it keeps very well after you clean out the device).

Works fine but has a couple of design issues
Works fine for chopping vegetables. However, the main container has ribs on the inside which make it harder to clean out all the chopped food. They could have put the ribs on the outside and left the inside smooth. The blade anchor at the bottom could be taller so that the blade stands upright to align better with the top. As it is it sometimes takes some fiddling to get it aligned properly before you can start cutting.

Unbelievable!
At first, I was extremely disappointed in the size of this chopper. It was quite small and I didn’t think I would have much use for it. I decided to try it for a sandwich that had onions in it. I cut the onions as instructed put them in the bowl, cover the chopper and locked it pull the string into my amazement. In a few seconds they were all neatly chopped and ready to put in my sandwich! Excellent product but realize that it is small and look at dimensions before you purchase.

Love but Annoying!
This device could be soooooo amazing with a small change.I love it and am even ok with being very careful handwashing the lid to not get water in it.BUT the biggest pain and why I am now looking for a new one just after a month of use is that there is only a TINY nub that holds the blade to the base.SO the blade post is constantly moving when food is added. When ready I put back on the post, but if you don’t like the top up JUST right, it knocks the post off as well when I go to close the top. URG!!If the blade post would just STAY IN PLACE this device would be the most loved item in our kitchen.HOPE the manufacturer will do a redesign to make that nub longer so the post will stand easily on it’s own and not be knocked off with any little nudge.
