Night and day difference in sound quality from gen2 to gen3. These sound many times better than gen2. I agree with some of the reviews that the fit in your ear is different. But they feel totally secure and don’t come out at all. Worth the extra 50 dollars to upgrade for sure.

They are as good as the AirProds Pro (2nd generation), costing about a third less. The music sound is almost as good as with the Pros, albeit with a little shrill in the highs. Good replacement for the Pros (2nd generation).

Didn’t think I would use these as much as I have! I am not a fan of ear phones at all. I find them all uncomfortable . These air pods are so light in ear I forget I have them in sometimes . Which I absolutely needed. Sound quality blew my mind at first and the connectivity has no lag/delay for productivity use such as consuming vidoes via YouTube , watching live streams via twitch etc. phone calls and FaceTime sound very clear and whomever I am speaking with can hear my clear as day even at the gym. The sound canceling tech in these AirPods makes them worth it alone, this is a very immersive set of earphones . Movies sound crisp, bass & treble are tuned to the dial out of the box.
