Very nice knife set, the block is larger than my old set but still fits into the spot. This is a quality knife set that will last years. They even have a service that emails you to sharpen them. I’m replacing an older set from 2002 so I got 21 years out of it and in reality if I took better care of that old set and remembered to sharpen it I would still be using it. I expect that this set will last at least that long, probably longer seeing as to I hand wash this one vs. Using the dishwasher on the old set. The color of the block is really nice, I got the natural one, the thickness of the blades is pretty much the same as my old set so quality has not deminished. i do like the new handles better than the older set, they fit better in my hand and I feel that I have better control. The blade balance e in very nice and you get a good selection of the most popular knives, the kitchen scissor is somewhat misplaced, I wish they had included a good filet knife instead of scissors but I knew what I was getting so I can’t complain about what it came with.

I bought these knives as a gift and I love them. They are light weight and easy to hold. The are very sharp and cut very easily. I had very thick chicken breasts I needed to cut to make cutlets and the knives made that very easy. My only complaint is they are supposed to be dishwasher safe. The first couple times I used them I washed them by hand. When I finally decided to put them in the dishwasher the black on the handles faded. I would definitely recommend these but I would NOT put them in the dishwasher.

this is a decent entry level knife set it arrived plenty sharp for everyday kitchen use henckels mail in sharpening is a bit expensive there’s a place near my home that sharpens knives for $5 each i recommend searching for a similar place near your home if you purchase these and have them sharpened once a month and the knives will last a long time

I did a lot of research before spending this much on knives. I am assured these are the best knives for a reasonable price. Some of the best chefs endorse them. They work really well and are very attractive. I was disappointed that the ad said they were dishwasher safe. However, the instructions say that even though you can put them in the dishwasher the handles will stay prettier longer if you wash them by hand. So I wash them by hand.

Don’t play w the sharpness on these knifes, right out the box ready to cut, no sharpening needed. I saw some reviews abt rusting but so far mine are fine. The only thing is it definitely is kinda a smaller knife set compared to others out there.

Bought this for Xmas to replace a high quality , but now worn Calphalon knife set . Originally over $300 but I paid a little over $100 for 14 knives that include 6 steak knives, carving, bread knife, Santoku and paring knives.Quality and craftsmanship of this Henckels set is top notch and my son who likes cooking with me, appreciated the sharpness of the blades.Says dishwasher safe but I think it’s best to hand wash immediately after use to avoid rust and damage to the blade .
