Grilling Indoors…how great is that!!!! I have the Ninja Foodi Multicooker and when I saw the Grill, I knew I HAD to have it. And it’s just what I thought it would be! I made fabulous rib steaks in about 11 minutes, and the next day, I made Nashville Hot Fried Chicken from a recipe book that came with the grill.I’m thrilled with the results. Perfectly done, juicy, moist, and tender. The grill marks are da bomb! I LOVE MY FOODI AND MY GRILL!!!! Ninja products ROCK!!!!

Why buy any other. OK, I am a kitchen tool junkie. Got an air fryer, which I love. Got a Instantant Pot which is a killer for beans, stew, roasts, etc. Then saw the Ninja on TV and thought, so cool. Bought it and use it almost exclusively. Great for grilling, air frying, etc. Crisper works a little better then our air fryer, but it is a little too small for doing whole chicken or large roasts like standing rib. Really love the temp control going past 400 degrees for fish, etc. You have me sold.

By far my favorite appliance. I’ve been using this over a month now, I’d have to say it’s great for a family of 2 or 3. I don’t have to worry about my chicken catching on fire on the grill now. Clean up is easy, food cooks great, it does smoke when you open the lid on some foods so it’s not completely smoke free. I would give this 10 stars

Great grill and air crisper. Love this appliance! So far crispy fried chicken, fried shrimp, steak, tater tots, chicken wings, and cleans up so easy…LOVE my Foodi Grill/ Crisper.

The best small appliance hands down. This grills better than an outdoor propane, heating up to 510 degrees, it sears your steaks, chicken or anything you want. The air crisp makes wings better than deep fried with just a minimal coating of oil. Best small appliance I’ve ever purchased.Bottom line- just watch your food- times should be less than book recommends , typically 3-7 minutes less. you can open it and check at any time and the timer stops and restarts when opened & closed. I’m 55 and cook 99% of the meals and enjoy cooking. This cooks better than any oven and most outdoor grills.

Love it! I had this for a week before I used it. I’ve been disappointed in so many similar items. But the Ninja Foodi cooks like it says it will. It’s easy to clean because it comes apart. I wish there was a way to make it lighter since I have to keep it in my lower cabinet but that’s the only con. It guides you through the pre-heating stage, when to add the food, how long.

Love…but defect. I love my grill! It’s perfect for salmon and just any veggie you can think of. I would give it 5 stars, especially because it’s easy to clean but there is a defect with mine. The rubber edge next to the heating plate is pealing off. And I’ve only used it 4 times. Just hoping that if i keep using it, it won’t get worse.

Great results quick! I am a single man living alone in an apartment. My property bans outdoor grilling. This indoor grill is a great alternative to outdoor cooking! I get much better results than on a stove top. This device is great for cooking small portions when I get home from work. Ever since I purchased this indoor grill, I’ve been eating healthier meals that I can cook on my own. Preheating this device is much faster than a grill or an oven! I also love the easy cleanup. The non-stick surfaces make clean up very easy and quick.

Bye Bye Propane! I sold my propane grill and bought two of these and they are awesome! I got two for a multiple reasons. One, they are small, so if I want to cook 8 steaks for company, I can use both grills for that (about 4 small steaks or burgers fit on each grill). Two, if I’m just cooking for my family, I can do meat in one and air crisp fries or onion rings in the other at the same time. These are WAY easier to clean than my propane grill was and I like not having to worry about running out of propane in the middle of cooking. I just have to worry about power outages now, so that is a trade off, but I’m ok with it (we don’t lose power very often where I live). I have done steak, chicken, pork chops, a few different types of fries, onion rings and burgers. All came out delicious (the cyclonic heating makes everything cook very evenly every time and meats come out with everyones beloved grill marks too)… I’m getting really good at adjusting the times to get the food just the way I want it. The times in the books are not accurate for all things, so you need to experiment a bit to get it perfect, but once you do, it’s so easy with the timer. I don’t put anything (marinades, rubs etc.) on the meats I cook anymore because they come out so good plain from this grill. I absolutely love it! You can see in the photo, the one I do meat on (left) gets the top screen a little dirtier than the one I have only air crisped on though. I have them both on a cart and cook outside. I don’t recommend buying this thinking you’re going to cook inside. I did try that twice (once with meat and once with fries) just to see how it worked, and both times there wasn’t a lot of smoke or anything, but the house smelled like what I cooked for a whole day and that I didn’t like… so cook outside with these is my recommendation. Since that was my original plan, I am very happy with these grills. I can see people who bought these to cook inside complaining about the fact that it stinks up the house a bit, so keep that in mind if that is your intention…. I think they cook a lot better (and easier) than my propane grill (charbroil infrared) did though, so consider that as well. Size being too small and smelling up the house would be the only two negatives I can think of. I solved the size issue (as well as the issue of wanting to grill and air crisp at the same time) by getting two which makes the price a bit high, but for me it was worth every penny.

Great small appliance addition! I purchased the indoor grill about a month ago. Thus far I have used it mostly to grill fish, chicken, steak and burgers. I love the grill marks it makes. It cooks fast and evenly. I love it! Grilling is healthy and you can grill frozen foods so if you forget to take something out of the freezer, no problem. It cooks faster than anticipated so watch it until you become used to cooking times. Clean up is a breeze – love that!

4.0 out of 5 stars This is a wonderful Item (if you use it outside)…
I actually really enjoyed the results of the foods that were cooked.unfortunately I live in an apartment and it sets off my smoke alarm every time!why not take it outside when I use it? well…. THAT is not what I purchased it for.But if you don’t mind cooking with low grease foods and keeping the temperature 350 and under, and being cautious and ready to reset your fire alarm every time you use it; this item is for you!

4.0 out of 5 stars Almost perfect
We switched to this from another from a different brand that it’s beeping drove us crazy. My mom has this one so I knew what to expect and the beeping is much more tolerable.Pros: just works really well. Really strong so I had to lower the time/temp that I was used to.Cons: the 20 min auto timer for “air crisp” is just annoying, since it is so strong I often reheat things for only 4-5 minutes, so that’s 15 clicks to lower it down from 20 to 5. I would have also loved to be able to skip the preheat, sometimes in a rush you just want to set and forget, but here you are forced to preheat. Food turns out great because of it, but I wish there was a way to decide if to preheat or hot. I still get confused with the on, off, start buttons, putting in the time and then clicking off. Then having to turn it on again and do it all over again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best air fryer
Easily the best kitchen appliance I’ve bought. Can do so much so well. Only complaint is waiting for it to warm up to cook vs other air fryers just immediately putting the food in. Cleans in dishwasher no problem.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Cooker/Grill But Be Aware of Maintenance
This unit combines a grill with a convection oven.Be realistic. There is no substitute for charcoal but I am precluded by local law and my condo association from barbecuing on my terrace. The Foodi offers a good sear and SOME of the flavor you would get from a charcoal grill. I have had excellent results with this thing. If you do not have a dishwasher, you might want to think twice. There are a lot of parts to be cleaned.I have a Cuisinart contact grill that became all but useless. The teflon coating has worn off top and bottom plates and everything sticks like crazy – usually to the top plate. Replacing the plates is about the same cost as replacing the machine. Even if there were not a sticking problem there is no comparison between the two appliances. The Foodi is far superior. The Foodi has an enamel coating that is very slick and should be far more durable than teflon. You ABSOLUTELY need a meat thermometer – the external kind with a cable or bluetooth connector to the probe. You will never have satisfactory result with a timer. Overall this cooks much quicker than an oven or a conventional grill because of the convection effect. Cooking times will vary depending upon fat content and size. The mean thermometer (around 2 bucks) takes the guesswork out of the process.I made some fennel sausage last weekend. I grilled these without the thermometer. I managed to overcook the links. I use commercial grade hog casing (my poor mother kept kosher) and the casing split. On the other hand I grilled some double rib lamb chops with the thermometer and they were done to perfection – a few degrees lower than desired and then allowed to rest for five minutes. Seared on the outside, medium rare on the inside. On the grill you are limited to four temperature zones. If you roast you can set the temperature to any point like an ordinary oven.I have not tried it but apparently you can air fry a breaded chicken cutlet. We will see. It would be a real plus.I have a sensitive, hard-wired smoke alarm and it went off when I turned the chops. Frankly it wasn’t necessary to turn. As advertised is sears all around. I will turn them the next time as well but open my terrace doors first. You MIGHT want to obtain kevlar oven gloves. The reason I said that is that they enable you to remove the components while they are still hot and wipe the down with a paper towel before the D/W. No need to use the brush. Everything just slides off. There are three parts to clean: The grill, the pot and the splatter shield. My definition of clean is however, er, … stuff comes out of the dishwasher. There was something in the manual about soaking the splatter shield for 24 hours. Yeah, sure. I’ll get right on that.Overall – unless you are expecting robust charcoal barbecue taste – most people will be satisfied. As an indoor grill I would give it six stars if I could.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works great but too small.
This Ninja works wonderfully. But it is too small. I can only cook two steaks at a time. That’s why I gave it only four stars. The pictures made it seem larger. But I don’t think it comes any larger. If I had seen a larger one I would have gotten it. Other than that it’s great.

This is my second convection oven. This is my first Ninja oven and I do like it. The best part for me is using it as an oven so that my home doesn’t get over heated.

Unlike my microwave there are just some things that is meant to be baked or cooked for flavor! This little item is BIG in power and food cooking! I use mine all the time for chicken nuggets, pizza rolls, even turkey breast! My Fiance absolutely loves it! We got ours at a very great price! We waited a year wanting one and Amazon had a good one in warehouse! We jumped at the chance! And it Ninja? The quality is great! The name says it all!

5.0 out of 5 stars OMG! A USEFUL APPLIANCE
The last thing I wanted was another appliance that is huge and MUST sit on a counter to be handy (my counters are very limited). I wanted an air fryer, but those things are huge and only do one thing. THIS does several things, all of which I want. A grill for my ribeyes, an air fry setting to cook or reheat things that get killed in the microwave, bake, roast — I’m surprised it doesn’t make coffee. I’m going to donate my pressure cooker (which I never figured out good enough) AND my toaster oven (I don’t make toast any more). So, I’m actually freeing up some space. Happy that I found one that’s Used-in-good-condition! It’s in near-perfect condition. Thrilled with this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product
I was hesitant to purchase this product. I am sure glad I did. I bought it to use mainly as an air fryer. I tried grilling ribeye steaks one night and wow, my life has changed. This unit made some of the best grilled steaks I have ever eaten. I use it almost every night to cook one thing or another.I am happy that I decided to part with the money to get this product. I have yet to use the dehydrate function, but every other function is awesome and to top it off, it is so easy to clean.I love my Ninja Foodi 5 in 1.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for Carnivore Llifestyle
Love it! I can cook my meats/fish/poultry easily. It’s just a pain to clean sometimes depending on what you cook of course. I normally cook for myself but when I had to cook back to back 2 more steaks, that’s when it smoked up the kitchen and my smoke alarm turned on. But if you cook just 1, it normally doesn’t.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best So Far
I’ve been using air fryers for years, and all different kinds. The basket models don’t have much space and seem to foul the heating element with oil faster than others. The oven style fryers seem less reliable and don’t quite give a crispy texture to the food. The Ninja 5-in-1 does everything you want with the bonus of being extremely easy to clean.I personally haven’t tried the grill function, but the air frying is fantastic, it has a deep enough basket to fry a 22oz bag of fries all at once, with little need to flip, the space you have to cook is deceptively large. The best part of it all is how easy it is to clean, it has a doubled grease mesh protecting the heating element and standoffs for the basket so it isn’t scratching the bottom of the primary basket, however there are no standoffs on the sides of the basket so scratching can still occur. Everything washes out with water and a soft sponge, I’ve only burnt something on once, and it flaked right off. With the heating element being protected you’re avoiding so much annoying cleaning and not risking your fryer by getting water where it might damage the unit.As for the negatives, it’s mainly on the software side. This unit has a mandatory preheating phase, so whenever you start the machine and dial in your time and temperature, it will turn on for a couple minutes and then prompt you to add your food WITHOUT starting the timer or having the ability to time-out of the prompt. This means if you put food in and start the fryer, 2-3 minutes later when it is done preheating you will have to lift the lid to get it to register and start the timer. A small annoyance, but a totally unnecessary one. As I also mentioned before there are no standoffs for the sides of the fry basket, it will eventually scratch your main nonstick basket.Coming from a toaster style machine, this fryer is not quite as large, but has plenty of room. The folding lid isn’t inconvenient and I actually prefer it. Overall this machine is surprisingly good and might be the first air fryer that is MEANT to be cleaned easily, finally!

4.0 out of 5 stars Updated review: 2 weeks later, I’m changing it to 4 starts
2 week update: Since my first truly horrible attempts at cheese burgers with my foodie, I have made NY Strip steaks and asparagus twice. I have to say that I have rarely had a quicker or better meal in my home. In the last 7 years I’ve cooked a meal at home maybe 70 times. With so little day to day practice, you can imagine the quality of said meals. Yet those steaks came out “perfect”. The asparagus was tender and grilled and best yet, the entire thing took me maybe 20 minutes from preheating the foodie to sitting down with a finished meal. I couldn’t be happier with how it has functioned after the hamburger fiasco. It probably deserves 5 stars but day 1 really was that bad. Since one cannot live off of red meat I plan on attempting some seafood later on in the week. If they turn out as simple and well cooked as the steaks I’ll update the review and add that 5th star.Original review:1st attempt at use: Cheeseburger: I am 8 slices of cheese, 4 burgers and 45 minutes into the process of using my ninja foodie. I just wanted a cheeseburger. 1st off the probe isn’t working properly. I put the probe into the burger and placed them into the foodie. 30 seconds later the probe says my burgers ready. Its not, i can see it breathing. I take the probe out and cook it another 7 minutes on grill mode High. It looks brown now. I place a slice of cheese on each of the 2 burgers. I close the top gently and wait 60 seconds. I open the top again and the cheese is not on the burgers its next to the burger on the grill. I try again. Being extra slow and gentle with the opening and closing of the top. I wait 60 seconds, open it and 1 burger has cheese on it while the other does not. There are now 3 slices of cheese burning on the grill (no smoke though, kudos). I give up and decide to eat a regular burger and a cheese burger. I remove both and place on my plate. Pink liquid comes out. I stick my kitchen thermometer and after 45 seconds it hasn’t risen above 76 degrees. I threw that mess away and started over.Second attempt was very similar. The cheese flies off each time no matter what i do and I am cooking 30 or 40 percent longer than the instruction book states (for thicker burger than mine) and still I am pretty sure I’m currently eating a half cooked burger. Anyways I am a fool for spending $200 on a machine to cook a hamburger when a pan will do. I am not ready to give up yet. I have some steaks that ill be cooking this week. If they go better ill update my review.

4.0 out of 5 stars Tastes as good as a steakhouse steak!
I’ve had several appliances that are supposed to give you that “grilled outside taste”, but none of them has measured up – from the George Forman grill to Emirle Lagasse’s air fryer – both are now outside in the shed. But this Ninja Foodi grill actually does what it says it will do. I hate the hassle of starting a grill with charcoal or having to deal with propane tanks. The indoor appliances don’t give me the taste I’m looking for. Everything is bland and I end up giving it to the dog. Then I ordered this for myself for my birthday. OMG! 😱 What a difference! I grilled a strip steak in just 20 minutes. It was perfectly charred outside and perfectly medium pink inside. I can’t believe how good it was! It tasted like it was grilled outside. It would be hard to tell the difference between a steak grilled on a Foodi grill and a steakhouse steak – it was that good! It’s easy to clean up, but it is heavy – probably not something you want to pull in and out of the cupboard on a regular basis. But you’ll be using it so often, you’ll want a permanent place for it on the countertop or utility table. I took a star away for 2 reasons: 1) the recipe book that comes with it focuses on family size meals – 4 burgers, 4 steaks, 5 hot dogs, 5 ears of corn. I’m one person. So I’ve had to play with cooking times for 1 steak, 1 burger, etc. 2) the pot, basket, and grill do not all fit into the unit together. If you place all 3 in the unit, you can’t close the top. This is bad for storage. If you put the grill in the pot, you have to find a place to store the basket. If you put the basket in the pot, you have to find a place for the grill. Not all 3 fit nicely together. Personally, I think this is a design flaw and could be fixed in future models, as could the recipe book. Otherwise, this is a 5-star appliance. One more thing – it says don’t use olive oil because it smokes use vegetable or canola oil – after being brainwashed to use olive oil. I discovered if you’re grilling meat, you don’t need any oil. Meat generates enough grease on its own. You will need it if you’re grilling veggies. My only regret now is that my meat bill is going to significantly increase. And my dog is disappointed because she’s no longer getting half a steak!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome machine! Don’t know why I didn’t have one before
I LOVE this machine. I use it every night for everything from grilling, air frying and baking. I LOVE it. I don’t know how I lived without it. I burned barbecue sauce and cheese to it, and I figured I’d have to scrape and scrub to get it off as I have with other appliances and pans I’ve used in the past. Once it was cool enough to couch and clean, it literally just came off by tapping on it with my finger, so making cleaning it so much easier! The probe is an awesome feature too, letting you cook your meats exactly how you want and turns itself off when it reaches your desired cooking

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Tool For The Kitchen
This was purchased to replace an old Phillips air fry cooker with the pull out tray/ basket. It was a good first experience with air fryers. It was a little too small and hard to clean. It lasted many years, but it still worked, but it had a bad smell to it because you couldn’t clean it the way it needed to. This unit has more room, it is easy to clean. The first thing I noticed, was how much quieter it runs. These new crappy home designs with the big open space, makes it terrible when you are running a noisey appliance. So quiet is better. It has been used to grill chicken breasts, air fry frozen french frys, and frozen coated fish fillets, and fish sticks. I almost forgot, there is a double screen that protects the fan from splatters. This should go a long way towards the collection of grease on the fan itself. If this unit lasts long enough, I will giveit five stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use
Love the ease of use. The foodi provides directions when it is ready to put the food in the Foodi. And the thermometer that remains in the meat takes away all the guess work. The Foodi alerts you when the food is best done and when to remove the meat so it rests with the thermometer still intact and rises to the perfect temperature for the desired result you have indicated. Takes the guesswork out of cooking. There are also so many cooking options.. airfrying; roasting; baking etc etc. The Foodi just makes any meal better… and makes me seem like a great cook with total ease! Love it! I also purchased the paper liners so cleanup is a breeze!

4.0 out of 5 stars The cost
I love my new air fryer, the food was so much better. Only used it twice this first week. However, I’m a senior on a fixed income and carefully manage my expenses. The air fryer cost me $2 more in electricity EACH time I used it. I get a weekly summary of my usage/costs. I knew it used a lot of voltage and now I know how much. I’ll figure how to balance this within my budget. An informed buyer is a better buyer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Understand what you’re getting, and adjust accordingly.
tl;dr: Good device. Worth getting in place of a normal air fryer due to its greater flexibility. It is, however, still a convection device. Keep in mind when cooking things. This is a first impression so far only using it to cook a few things so far, but my experience has been great – if with a few caveats. For full disclosure, I bought this with my own money and while it was about $30 off. I received what appeared by all accounts to be a brand new unit with that new appliance smell, complete with burning off excess plastics on first use.First things first: this is a fancy convection oven. It’s a convection oven that gets to very high temperatures and has very strong air circulation, but it is – ultimately – a convection oven. Unlike a proper grill, this has a fan that is constantly circulating air which means it will cook things faster. Keep this in mind when using it and make adjustments to prevent overcooking your food. As a general rule, the recommended times that come with the device are to make something Well Done. For this purpose, they’re accurate, but you probably will want to cut a few minutes off of those times for anything less than that. The device itself is straight forward to use. It has fairly standard oven/air fryer controls, but arranged a little differently. There are different functions that effectively change whether the air circulates in the unit or not, and there are macro temperature controls (low, med, high, max) that can be fine tuned from there. Time is only in intervals of whole minutes, which is slightly inconvenient, but Fine. When initially starting up and preheating, this thing is fairly loud. It doesn’t stay loud for long, but can probably wake up a light sleeper in a small apartment. Probably not a huge issue, but one to be mindful of when using for the first time.I’ve cooked london broil and salmon with this using the Grill option (regular circulation) with the recommended temperature settings (High and Max accordingly.) As I mentioned before, be mindful of how much you want to cook something. The recommended settings always err toward Well Done. As an example: in the case of salmon, I cooked it for eight minutes the first time and it was just a touch more cooked than preferred. At seven minutes, it was perfect. As for the steak, don’t make the same mistake I did the first time and keep opening the grill if you have a standard meat thermometer. All of that hot air is just going to escape and it’ll take some time to get back up to temperature again. In my case, I was too paranoid about the doneness of the steak that I ended up slightly overcooking it (medium-well instead of medium-rare) due to having to bring the unit back to temperature in order for it to cook the center properly. In short: get a quick read thermometer, or just follow the guide line of shaving a minute or two off of recommended cook time based on desired doneness. As for the results, they still tasted great. The grill surface does get hot enough to make a nice sear into the meat. Like any convection oven, the circulating air keeps the food from drying out and the cuts of meat were left very juicy and tasty.Cleaning is easy for as long as the ceramic coating lasts. This is the same caveat as literally anything with a Teflon (or similar) coating. If you’re especially paranoid, let everything soak in soap+water before cleaning it off. The brush it comes with does the job, but any sort of dish scrubbing brush (NOT WIRE PADS) should be just as good.Overall, my first impressions of this appliance are great. It is far easier, quicker, tastier, and more convenient than frying off or sticking something in the oven to broil. My wife and I have replaced the air fryer in our kitchen with this since it serves both purposes. If anything changes, I’ll update this review.Update: We’ve cooked a larger variety of things including turkey legs, hamburgers, smaller wings and so on. Everything remains great. It’s been very easy to clean as well with no signs of chipping on the finish. I will say I do hand clean everything, but it shouldn’t make much difference in the dishwasher.

5.0 out of 5 stars customer service rocks!
I don’t like leaving a review until I’ve used a product for awhile and the design flaws and other problems have a chance to show themselves. How a company responds is so important. I did have a problem (more later) and it was quickly and efficiently resolved. I have been using this unit about once per week for 8 months.First – the product usability – I am not a great cook, nor do I care. I want simple, straight forward recipes, with ingredients I recognize, and if it has more than 5 ingredients (including salt and pepper) my eyes glaze over. So, obviously, I haven’t tried most (any?) of the recipes that came with the unit. I bought this because of the Covid lock down. We were missing our weekly burger night at our favorite restaurant. It works great! My burgers on the outdoor grill come out like hockey pucks, but the Ninja ones are perfect! Easy, juicy, quick. 5 minutes, no flipping and cooks evenly. I also use it for fries and it works very well. I had to experiment with cooking times depending on the brand of frozen fries I buy, but no big deal. I don’t use any oil with the fries, you are supposed to use some, but we like them not as crispy. I haven’t cooked anything else in the Ninja. The thermometer probe – Don’t waste your money. Maybe it’s me, but I can’t figure out a way to use it without burning myself. My meat thermometer works just fine. I do love that the top of the unit has a temperature chart – it’s a little thing, but it is so convenient.Cleaning it – the grill insert is really kinda a pain, but, frankly, I think that is typical of any appliance with a grate. There is a brush provided that certainly helps, and I use a scrubbie too. The fry basket and the main pot clean up just fine – easy peasey. The problem I had – after several months the edges of the cooking pot started to flake off the nonstick coating. Even the cheap generic fry pans I bought decades ago when I first moved out on my own, didn’t flake off that quickly. My daughter has had this same unit (without the probe) for over a year, using it several times a week, and has not had this problem. I took some photos, called the service number. No waiting in a queue (so no obnoxious, tinny music), the rep turned the call into a video call via a text message (I have no clue how he did it!) so I could show him the pot and the whole unit up close and personal. He immediately said that was not supposed to happen (I already knew that!), then said he would send me a new one and that it would would take up to 10 days. I don’t think the call lasted longer than 10 minutes total. Unbelievably fantastic customer service – no fussin’, no cussin’ (not that I’d be cussin’ anyway). The rep was wonderful, I did have a little trouble with his accent, but it’s not like I can carry on a conversation in a foreign language, so props to him for that. I asked him just to slow down (everyone talks too fast for me) and enunciate a little more and he was very accomodating. We did fine. Unfortunately, when I tried to answer the survey at the end, the system didn’t recognize my keypad responses, I think it might have been because of the type of call he used. I wanted to leave a positive response. Oh, well. Two days later – surprise! The new cooking pot arrived! Wonderful customer service.

5.0 out of 5 stars This thing is awesome!
I wish it was twice the size, or that I had 2 of these to be honest. I looked into the Grill XL but it didn’t seem to be getting as favorable reviews as the original Foodi Grill, so I went with this one. I’m not disappointed with it, AT ALL. First thing I did was grill a ribeye. And one thing I discovered is with the integrated temperature probe that THIS has, my previous method of doing ribeyes in a sous vide and then searing, was a big waste of time. Maybe for a strip or sirloin that could use a little heat tenderizing, sure. Ribeye? Naw. Throw it on the Foodi Grill, set the probe for 125 or 130 depending on your preference, and shes beautiful, and only takes a few minutes to cook instead of an hour +. You don’t quite get the perfect edge to edge consistency, but honestly its good enough and pretty close. My wife, who is Filipino, has been making some great marinated and grilled chicken with this thing. It comes out so good. Nice beautiful BBQ type char on the outside, hot and tender and juicy on the inside. Its really easy to use. Get creative. Don’t be fooled by all the settings, its really not all that complicated. The trick is the “grill”, “roast”, “air fry” and “dehydrate” settings all do exactly the same thing, the element heats, and it blows. the settings just limit you to whatever temperature range you will see. So if you want to slow cook something at 200 degrees for example, choose the dehydrate setting so that you have access to that temperature range. Its fairly easy to clean, but it does need to be cleaned thoroughly after each use. I’m pretty OCD about patina building up on cookware, and this machine has enough nooks and crannies in it where eventually its going to become a problem. I wish people could engineer appliances that took this sort of thing into consideration better and made them even easier to clean or more difficult to get soiled. Not that the Foodi is particularly bad mind you, the grill and air fryer basket and pan are super easy to clean. The problems start with the splatter screen, and move out from there to the top half of the unit. If you keep on it on a regular basis it should not be too much of a problem. We do fries and tots on a fairly regular basis, the fries are great, you would never know they are air fried vs deep fried .. they taste great., but mostly steaks, chicken .. whole birds (about 5 lbs), and also quarters. It did a Butterball turkey roast in there pretty well. I’m about ready to try and smoke a pastrami in it in a few days but thats an undocumented and unrecommended use .. but I think I know a way …

5.0 out of 5 stars I Use This Foodi Every Single Day!!!
I was on the fence about getting this for several months–I just wasn’t sure if I wanted yet one more thing on my counter. But, I happened to get it at some flash sale price, so I bit the bullet and bought it. It actually took me a couple of days to start using it (I get intimidated with new kitchen things sometimes), but once I started, WOW! I watched tons of YT videos of people cooking with this, so I had a decent idea of what worked and of course after using it since May, I have just figured out what works best. To be honest, I use air crisp for almost everything except for steaks. I air crisp burgers (much faster that way), pork rind breaded pork chops, fish balls, pork rind breaded fish, chicken wings and bacon. We don’t eat cakes or cookies, so I can’t say that I’ve used the bake function. The grill plate takes much much longer to heat up, but we really like our steaks on the grill plate and grill function as opposed to air crisp. The Ninja is fairly easy to clean, at least the bottom bin and the air fryer basket are. The grill is fairly easy too if you soak it. The screen at the top can be a pain and trying to clean around the top can be tricky and I have cut my knuckles doing that. I do wish they had put the ceramic coating on the lid or at least used metal that wasn’t so sharp. That is my main complaint. If they had only put the ceramic coating on the lid, cleaning would be really easy. With the screen, about once a month, I put it in boiling water with vinegar and a few drops of dawn to try and clean it. That works fairly well. I do have issues with my smoke detectors going off though, but my sister in law has one of these and just puts it on her counter near her stove and turns on her exhaust fan and that keeps her detectors from going off. I don’t have a functioning exhaust fan, otherwise I would do the same thing. So I put my kitchen detector in a drawer while I’m using the Ninja and that works. Seriously though, it has made cooking much more fun and since you can actually cook frozen food, like frozen burgers (we get awesome specialty burgers from our farmers market), but it has just made eating so much easier for my husband and I. In one minute, we can pull some burgers out of the freezer, heat up the Ninja and cook them and they’re done in about 15-16 minutes (our burgers are very large)! Pretty much anything we make takes less than 17 minutes to cook (except for the chicken wings). Yes, we eat mostly carnivore, so as long as we have some kind of meat in the fridge or freezer, it’s really easy for us and we literally have used this just about every single day since we got it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Just buy it… you won’t regret it.
But seriously, buy it. I barely even use my oven anymore now that I have the Ninja 5-in-1 product. The only feature I haven’t used yet is dehydration (mostly because I just don’t dehydrate food) but all the other settings I use on a regular basis. Wings, steak, crispy bacon, delicious biscuits, croissants, salmon… it all cooks beautifully in my Ninja. And it’s also super easy to clean! I now only use my oven when it’s a bigger dish that just won’t fit in the Ninja.

4.0 out of 5 stars It is fun so far
This is definitely a novelty item. I can’t say the food tastes better when I cook it in the ninja, but it tastes different. A little drier. I am still figuring it out. I grated some fresh garlic and mixed it with olive oil with green beans. Definitely tastes different than when I boil my green beans, but it is still fun. The benefits are that it cooks the food FAST. In the time it would take to boil a pot of water for my green beans, they are already done in the ninja! I also cooked asparagus and eggplant on the grill part. They didn’t taste like barbecued grilled veggies. I usually fry my asparagus in olive oil until it is a little toasty. The asparagus got toasty in the air frier, but still tastes drier than when I cook it in the pan. It is a learning process. Again, biggest benefit is that it cooks soooo fast. Clean up is easy- i just put it in the dishwasher once it is cool.Edit: two months later: a day doesn’t go by where I don’t use this machine. I even toast my English muffins in it. I don’t know what it is about this machine that makes me prefer it over the stove or oven. Just seems quicker and simpler. I put the metal cooking pieces and vent in the dishwasher after every 1-2 uses. Grease is beginning to build up a bit on the surfaces. It scrubs away easy enough, but it takes a little time to get it all off.I am learning how to cook the vegetables better- I I only cook them for 3-5 minutes max, shut it off, then let it sit sit in the hot frier to finish cooking. Comes out much better and less dry this way. Also cooked some tuna and salmon. Still getting the hang of it.

5.0 out of 5 stars PERFECT indoor grill with no smoke, lightning fast cooking, and professional tasting meals!
Holy cow I am blown away by this baby! There are plenty of long detailed reviews, so I’ll keep mine as short as I can:Do you love the taste of grilled food but don’t have a grill? Maybe you’re like me and live in a small apartment that doesn’t allow outdoor grills or you don’t even have the space outside to grill at all. This is the appliance for you.- It fits perfectly on even my tiny countertop and it is no louder than the fan I turn on over the stove. Pretty quiet even compared to my microwave! I also cooked 3 items with NO smoke! Amazing!Do you want a quick meal that tastes like it was cooked by a professional? This is the appliance for you.- I cooked a thick porterhouse in 8 mins, four hamburgers in 7 mins, and frozen fries in 8 mins. To minimize fat/grease build up over the 3 items, I did the fries first, then the steak, then the burgers. I coated the meat with a very thin layer of canola oil to make it cook better and keep it from sticking to the grill. I kept the food warm in the oven while I cooked the next meal. When it was time to eat it all, they were all perfect! PERFECT! I’ve tried cooking meats and frozen potatoes on a stove or even in the oven and they never tasted very good. Always mediocre. This? This thing makes everything taste AMAZING!Do you want easy clean up that only involves warm soapy water and a soft sponge? This is the appliance for you.- After letting everything cool off, I was able to clean the air crisper tray, the grill tray, the cooking pot (where the grease and fat collect), and the splatter shield in just 10 mins. The food just melted off the grill and it just needed a soft sponge for clean up. The cooking pot’s fat/grease poured right out and I could wipe out what was remaining. Be careful to NEVER use metal tongs or rough sponges on this so the coating stays strong! It comes with a soft bristle brush for stubborn stuck foods!Overall, this was one of my best investments ever. I can make delicious and quick meals! I can finally push aside all the frozen meals I’d make myself and make healthy foods like chicken breasts, meats for soups, and veggies! I don’t often have hours to prep and cook a nice dinner, but with this I can get quality meals in a fraction of the time!I was not paid for any of this praising, I’m just that happy about this! If you’re on the fence about getting this, jump off and get this! It is worth the money!

5.0 out of 5 stars We Love It!
I had no idea how much we needed this thing in our lives! It honestly makes life easier. We are empty nesters, and it works perfect for us. The grill cooks surprisingly great steaks once you get used to the timing. It’s also not hard to clean. We used it more than the oven lately!

5.0 out of 5 stars Maybe now I can learn to cook more meals
The booklet that comes with it is a great tool for how long and what temp to cook things or to give you an idea of how long and what temp. It is super easy to clean. I barely have to use the grill brush and when I do it is to clean food out of the holes. I love to soak the frill or pan inside the bowl so everything is that much easier to clean. Can confirm nuggies and tendies are much yummier in the air fryer than the oven!

    5.0 out of 5 stars I iI
I have had this ninja air fryer for at least 3 years and it is fantastic. I do clean it after each use and it is just now starting to see some wear from putting the basket in and out so often, because I used it in the beginning almost daily. Now it’s down to 2-3 times weekly. I have only used the air fryer and grill part, both are excellent for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love the five in one
We’ve now purchased four of these, one for home, one each for sons and one for our park model. The functionality is awesome, from making garlic toast to grilling a steak, this air fryer combo works like a charm. Couldn’t be happier and recommend to all our friends.

5.0 out of 5 stars No smoke. Works great.
Was worried that there might be some smoke based on the other reviews….didn’t have any and tried a bunch of the different grilling options. Really impressed with this cooking device and the price was reasonable.Shipped out quickly. Easy to use.

5.0 out of 5 stars cooking time varies
i got this for my husband for xmas and he loves it… i love it too! although i havent been able to use itf because he always wants to use it instead.. hey… less cooking for me, right 🙂 anyway… the only thing thats a little bit of a concern, and its not the grills fault… is that cooking meat time according to the booklet, varies because (im assuming) the cuts of meat they use for the grill time vs the cuts of meat we use…. i think we must use smaller cuts than they do for an estimated grill time. SO id say make sure you check the food often when its close to the time given, to make sure you dont over cook it.. its totally human error.. not grill error.it is not cumbersome to use if you have the counter space… it is long enough to fill the width of a normal kitchen counter… and about 2 ft wide. to use it, we turn it sideways just so we can open the lid (because of the cupboards) .. it doesnt melt the counter or leave burns, its only gotten pretty warm.. but nothing alarming. i thought it would flip the breaker, but it didnt… i was pretty surprised… even used it at the same time as the microwave… and yeah… maybe that has to do with the houses wiring,.. but im just saying…. im used to stuff blowing in the kitchen and nothing happened.the grill can easily be kept on the counter if you dont have just 4 ft of counter space like we do. the food that is cooking in it is delicious… and never a reason to complain. this grill is super easy to clean…. it has such a nice non-stick finish, that stuff you think would be a problem, just wipes away, we definitely wont use metal in this just in case it damages… we havent put that to the test and i dont remember reading anything that said you COULD use metal…. just saying… using chopsticks to cook in non-stick pans is something that ive done for years… and i dont see a reason to use something else on this….ok… i think thats it! thanks for reading 🙂

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this Air Fryer
This is the best appliance in my kitchen. I cook everything in this air fryer/ grill/ roaster. It is too hot to turn on the oven or range and this Ninja makes cooking so easy. I cooked a pound of bacon with no greasy mess and pork tenderloins are tender and juicy. Not to mention it is so fast to warm up leftovers or quickly cooking fish filets. Even frozen biscuits turn out great. The grill is so much easier than standing in 95 degree heat to cook a few hamburgers. I only wish I could store the griddle inside the fryer with the basket but not a big deal. Honestly, I would give this product 10 stars if I could.

5.0 out of 5 stars ~~ My son LOVES this Ninja ~~
I purchased this for my son who lives alone and is not a lover of cooking. He comes home from work and tends to just throw something on his George Foreman grill that he’s had since college. He seemed excited to get it for his birthday which I really wondered if he would look at me like “really mom”?? He told me several guys at work had talked about owning one and how much they liked it.He has had if for almost a month now and uses it constantly. He has even tried severeal of the recipes that came with the machine. His favorite thing to make himself is hotwings and he likes the fact that he can throw them in frozen if he has forgotten to take something out to thaw.He also said it is extremely easy to clean which is another huge plus. I am planning on buying myself one now. Thought if he didn’t like it I would take it and try it out. 🙂

5.0 out of 5 stars Must have!
The media could not be loaded.  I was searching for a good indoor grill for a long time. After reading thousands of reviews, finally decided to give this one a try. If I can save you time on your research – I will just say, buy it without even second guessing. This is an absolute must have! I am full time nurse, that likes to cook her own food. This grill helps me save time on cooking when I am tired after a long day at work. You can make a big variety of meals, using a grill or an air frier (fish, steaks, pork, burgers, wings, veggies). Another thing I love about this Ninja is that you can put marinated meat on it, with my previous cheaper grill that was not an option. The food comes out restaurant quality. Crispy on the outside and tender, mouth watering on the inside. Easy to clean. The only thing I was surprised about upon receiving my package that there was no manual. But you can download it online.

5.0 out of 5 stars Over a year in with no regrets!
I purchased this for Christmas of 2020. After a full year of service, I can recommend this device without reservations. When I initially purchased the machine, I feared it would be banished to the cabinet of rarely used items or even the basement in deep storage. Our experience has been the complete opposite. It has been put into regular service in our meal prep. I’d say we probably use it 2-3 times a week. It has claimed a permanent spot on the countertop as a result.Maintenance is very easy, all the components that require cleaning can be removed from the machine and cleaned thoroughly. Using the machine is extremely easy, a few button presses, a brief warm up period, and you are ready to cook.Air frying, has been an absolute pleasure. Mozzarella sticks, onion rings, french fries, breaded mushrooms, etc. All come out fairly good on this machine. You may have to experiment with timing and temperature, but once you get it dialed in on the product, you can depend on this to deliver! All of the fun of cooking/eating these foods, with none of the headaches of a traditional fryer, plus they are slightly better for you cause of no grease. What’s not to like?We have used the grill plate a few times, unfortunately, it doesn’t imbue the same sort of flavor you’d expect from a propane or charcoal grill, but it does the job. Hamburgers just don’t quite taste right, but hotdogs and chicken come out fine.We have also used this machine to prepare roasted cauliflower, roasted carrots, and it works great reheating pizza. If you are on the fence or worried about a machine that will perform well. I’d say this machine might be a good choice. If you are planning on using this machine to cook big batches, you may want to consider a different machine. I’d say this machine can cook a batch of fries that comfortably serves 4. I think if you are cooking for 4ish people, this machine is the right size.

5.0 out of 5 stars Why Are You Waiting? UPDATED!!
Just Get It!! After being inundated with smoke from cooking burgers inside for the hundredth time, I jumped at the chance to try this. Combined with the fact that the kids have all left the nest, the practicality off it just made sense. Let me tell you, I don’t think there has been a week that has gone by where I don’t use it at least 3 times. I absolutely love it. The hardest part is trying to figure out how to cook certain items that aren’t listed and then how to adjust the times and temps for other things. It is completely true that you can cook anything from it’s frozen state without losing flavor or juiciness. In fact after figuring out how to fit it in, I Cooked a whole frozen roaster in it with amazing results. You do need to check it and flip it a few times as you go. But Remember, remove the giblet bag! I just baked a fresh store bought Stromboli to perfection. I cannot be more thrilled with this. It has saved time, money, and has made it so much fun to cook. What’s more, absolutely No Smoke. Cleaning is really a breeze. Yeah the Crevices on the grill are a bit of a pain, but soak it in hot soapy water and it almost slides off. My only wish was that it was clearer what to use roast and bake for as I really don’t see what the difference is. I mean all 5 settings do the same thing right? Just at different temps which you can control anyway so that’s a tad confusing. But otherwise this indoor grill has got to be the single best purchase I have made for the kitchen. Hands down.UPDATE 2/17/20 6 months ownedWhat can I say, after 6 months this is still the best kitchen purchase I have made. I only wish I had the means, because I would not hesitate to give each member of my family this as a Christmas/birthday gift. While I still struggle at times to figure out times, temps and cooking programs on certain items, I rarely overcook anything. I also find the timing of cooking multiple items a fun little challenge, but I believe I have figured many of them out. I am constantly looking for dinner items to cook in the grill. And what’s even better is that even though I use this 4 – 5 times a week, I still have no issue whatsoever keeping the grill plate clean, which has to be my favorite feature.

5.0 out of 5 stars Steak on the grill inside my apartment!
I’m legit so impressed by this grill! It’s super easy and the food taste like it was made on an outside grill. The first time I used it I had to watch a video to figure out how to set it up, but after that It was easy peezy. I’ve grilled / cooked steak, cheeseburgers, pork chops, chicken and sausage so far and all of it was grilled to perfection.I highly recommending getting the unit with the built in food thermometer.

4.0 out of 5 stars seemed like a very good quality item
I did like this but I had to return it because the one I got was either used or refurbished (reviewed the merchant on their page) item even though it was listed as new, The fryer itself looked good and I am going to order another but I will make sure I avoid the previous merchant again this seems like a very good fryer and I am going to buy another, id suggest if you order, make certain to buy directly from amazon! This seems to be about he same as the 201 model and they run the same price just FYI
